Hi,

      Any recommendation for enrichment centre conducting English creative writing to primary 2-4 children?

      Regards;
I think her strength is in the quality of the books she has written. Her approach is rather drilling based, in my opinion. Very academic, result oriented and systematic. If this type of course is what you are looking for, maybe you can give her a try. Personally I prefer a more 'lively' type of lesson if available, something to inspire my child.
Hey babysz, i find if you're looking for 'lively' type of lesson, i would really recommend miss er (9655 5836). she coach e/m/s and her english lessons really impress me - she manages to cover oral, compre, compo, synthesis, everything plus creative writing and i see the improvements in my kids work and interest in her worksheets. her way of teaching is very open and vibrant, more on participative plus understanding than just rote learn. my kids been with her awhile now and can see they have develop a passion for reading/writing 😄

        ~We worry about what a child will become tomorrow, yet we forget that he is someone today.

            Anyone knows if English tution offered by Kent Ridge is good for lower primary? My daughter is P2 next year, and is thinking between Morris Allen & Kent Ridge.

                  My kid has attended both mindstretcher and morris. I find that Morris’s teacher do not stress the kids so much and my kid enjoys the class. She has to read a few book a week which that borrow from the class, that has help her quite a bit in her reading. As for Mindstretcher, I feel that teacher stress more on the academic which help her in her school work. However, I finds that they let the kids run in and out of the centre on their own. Both have their pros and cons, depending what your child needs. Of course, this might varis among the teachers even within the same branding. This are my personal view for your reference.

                      Hi, sorry to deviate the discussion a little. My dd is also weak in her composition writing. I have put her in a tuition centre this year but still yet to see much improvement. I was reading her school composition just before I post this message, the flow of the story is no good, she uses few sentences just to describe and make a point and the conclusion is also no good.

                      I have heard from friends that memorising other student’s work does help. Is this true ? I have read stories from composition books and assessment books but I can’t really visualise the format of a good composition and not to say help her. Can someone advise me how can I learn the composition writing skill myself or any books for me to start with ? Thanks. My dd is currently in P3.

                        Any parents had send kids to try Jiang education English lesson before? Care to feedback is it good? I knew the Chinese class is quite reputable but wondering if the English class is good for P3 to P6 students
