12 yo can get a full size guitar

u can consider Yamaha c series ..that cost around 100 to 200 dollars
their frets action are good and the sounds are reasonable

at jurong area i think there is Christopheric
      and Yamaha at frontier CC

playing guitar is not easy and a very long term investment
      good luck
      Hi raysusan,

Thanks for your sharing. Have a nice weekend πŸ˜„

Do you want to invest in a good one or simply get one for her to learn first & if progress is good, get her a good one?

I got a second hand one for $15 at a garage sale few months back. It was a little on the old side but the owner gave us new sets of strings to change. Works fine πŸ™‚

You can consider asking around to borrow or get a 2nd hand one first if you unsure if her interest/passion will stay.

          Hi Mrswongtuition,

I've called Summer Notes at Jurong West, they told that they will provide the guitar for the lesson first. πŸ˜„

most school provides guitar when u go for lesson
but the point is the practice u need when at home
try to start off as classical guitar and decide later on what kind of guitar to go on later

Thanks! Yah, have to buy one and practise at home. The price is around $70.

                insider:

So I served the web and got an identical one from the States at around S$1,100 (they don't mail over. I got a friend to buy it there and bring it back for me). That was her birthday present.
                Hi insider,

Wow you are so good to your daughter. πŸ˜„
Your girl must be very touched.

BTW, any recommended school around Jurong Area?

                  TIA

How about going ebay to buy those 2nd hand guitars?

                    will it be reliable?
