          Anyone has feedback on their P5 or P6 classes at AMK branch? Can share with me your experience? How's the teacher n worksheets?

          My DS P6 with AMK. Small class size, 6 students max. Worksheet content is good. Questions are organise by types and topics and challenging. Nearing the exams they do worksheets call \"Select\" to prepare for exams. As I understand they are commonly wrong questions selected from many sources and modified. They thus are usually more difficult. I can see that my DS is now more confident with Math and I pray he will get an A for his PSLE 🙂 :xedfingers:

          Also I am most touched is that the school is very dedicated. They have free exam drilling classes for P5 and P6 to prepare for exams. During the free lessons they do past year school papers.

          My DS teacher is Ms Indra, I have no issue.

          Hello work4astar,

          How long has your DS been with the AMK centre?

              HI Homeworkmummy,

              Sorry for the very late reply. Have been very stressed studying with my DS for his PSLE. :nailbite:

              He did improve in his prelim. More importantly, he is more confident. And most importantly, I hope he do well in his PSLE :xedfingers: Now we can only wait. But it seems like this year the PSLE Math paper is not that difficult as my DS say its not very difficult.

                hi,

                I would like to find out from parents here, other then the branch mgr of PW, Jason, are the rest of tutors there equally good? 😄
                My son in P5 this year. His tutor is Teacher Rachel. She is good. My son's class has 3 students (including my son). Teacher Rachel will make sure all her students understand her explanation before she proceeds to the next question. At the end of the lesson she will always feedback to the parents the students' performance on that day. Teacher Jason and Michelle are both equally good. I think Teacher Jason is teaching mostly P6 students preparing for PSLE.

                      Last I was there and saw the 2012 time table pasted on the notice board. You can call to check with them 😄

                        Common Mistakes With \"Time\"

                        It is a common mistake among students to present addition and subtraction of time and time duration as number statements.

                        Error Example 1:

                        8.10pm + 2h 20min = 10.30pm

                        Error Example 2:

                        8.10pm -> 8hr 10min
                        8hr 10min + 2hr 20min =10hr 30min
                        10hr 30min -> 10.30pm

                        The PSLE accepted presentation is using the time line.

                        SA2 is around the corner. Questions relating to time are usually not difficult and it would be a pity to lose precious marks because of presentation.

                        JEI PSLE MATH:
                        Dear all,

                        We have compiled a list of common mistakes committed by students, categorised into \"Upper Primary\", \"Lower Primary\" and \"All Levels\". Due to copyright reasons we will not be able to offer it online for download. Nevertheless, you may collect a copy from our Ang Mo Kio or Marine Parade branches.[/size]

                        All the best to our children coming CA2!
