need help need help.. i want to invest on a DSLR camera, canon.. which model is recommended ? im used to compact digital cam .. but i feel i want to explore with DSLR now.. any suggestions? TIA and how abt powershot series ?

hi micollh ~ i think now is a great time to venture into DSLR.. they have become lighter and more compact, with great resolutions, better picture quality and prices are more affordable too.

i would recommend something like the Canon EOS 600D, but the prosumer powershots also give good pics + convenient to use. you can read reviews and compare specs at http://www.dpreview.com/ to decide which models you prefer, than go down to the shops and get some hands-on feel to see which camera suits you best ~ happy shopping!

Was at Challenger earlier today and saw that they had a Nikon 10.1M pixel cam on offer at $99. Rather than buying game cartridges or computer gadgets for DS to play more games with.. Decided to get the cam for his Christmas... Hopefully he will start to have an interest in photography and also to train his eye for details and beauty

Have not used it but I think it is functional if you need to place your compact cam in odd places and then do a timer shot... Planning on visiting some foresty places and then take self-timer shots? lol
