Summer montessori:
I also received a letter from Ms Jit regarding the leaving of one of the co founders of the sch. Im also informed to submit the deposit as my boy is going to be enrolled in Apr 12. Quite hesitant as Ms Jit wont be in the old campus, and i read that there are parents as teachers there? Hmm…yes, disappointed cos I thought Summer will be a very gd choice for a playgrp, but with the leaving of a co founder…dunno if the standard will drop. -
Hi all,
Have any Contacts no of Summer montessori @ JW?
Have any new updates? Thinking of putting my son there… -
Their website is summermontessori.blogspot.com
You will find their newsletters there and in them you will find the contact numbers. But you may take a look at their website first to see how the school is like and whether it suits you.

Thanks dear…

kabalevsky: Do you still intend to place your child at Summer?
-
Just received a letter from Summer regarding my son’s first day of enrollment. He is allocated the time 11.15am to 1.15pm. I have opted for 9.15am class actually as it is more convenient for my mum. I have checked with Ms Jit if I can change to 9.15am class, she said to get back to me at a later date…Is there a chance of changing the time slot?
If not, I have to source for another PG…think it would be Tara then. And Tara may not even have a place! Haiz, headache!! Everything seems not confirmed. -
hi charlie brown,
yes i will still be trying Summer out. initially concerned because of the posting by one of the teachers (I think you should have followed the saga), but I have clarified everything with Jit and she has remained very professional and helpful.
I will also be meeting the teachers before school starts (those who will teach dd) so I hope dd will take to them and they will be able to handle her as well as all the other new kids next yr.
I like the school’s curriculum and Jit is really committed so I do hope it will be a positive experience.
Tara is also one of my backup choices. But as you say, out of my back up choices, many of them may not have vacancies at such short notice. However, if I really have to pull dd out after trying a month, then I will do what I have to do. And then put her on waitlist on all the other schools?
I have a friend with a dd 1 year younger than my own dd, and she has already placed deposit and booked a spot with Tara. So yup, I think Tara also has a waitlist. Sigh.
About timing, I also got the 11.15am slot. I heard there are less kids in that slot so it’s better for new kids to adjust in that class? I’m ok with the timing. Just pray and hope dd will be happy to go to school. If she cries everyday and refuses to go to school, then it will really be a headache for me. -
Hi Mummies…don’t worry, i believe your child will be in good hands and he/she will LOVE going to school. They get to sing, get to paint and dance:) It happens to my little one. Now he looks forward to school so much that he will grab his bag to the door, even though it’s a non school day.
