Ergonomic Furniture

Thanks for sharing your experience at Atwood, SAHM_TAN. :celebrate:
We are on the lookout for desks n chairs for our DDs too.
Niwaes... it IS about time to get them proper place for
work. May not be able to invest as much with ergo
ones since we need to buy two, but this thread
served a good read for research purposes. -
Yup.
It makes you wonder about the other furniture in the house right? :nailbite:
I checked that out too.
Also think about the toys, the list is neverending.
Reading these 2 links from other threads also set me :nailbite:

Mod’s Note
I have banned chillymunster for continuously masquarading as a customer of Kid2Youth, despite several direct & indirect warnings.
chillymunster owns Kid2Youth.
This banning is something that I do not wish to do. -
hmmm…
ksmummy is obviously from atwood. after all, they sell KuangShin desks (KS)… hence "ksmummy". ergoworks also sells kuangshin desks but at double the price. so it’s not a surprise that superlucky from ergoworks attack ksmummy.
this is funny. -
Took me a while to post this. Atwood & Ergoworks are selling different tables but under the same manufacturer! KuangShin. I finally figured this out after much traveling n questionings! When I called Ben from Ergoworks, he kept insisting that their tables are called "Impact" but if u look closely at it, it is from KuangShin! He kept saying it is different from Atwood. I made my trip to Atwood (without the kids this time) to clarify this n see their new range of tables. They were honest enough to tell me their tables are from KuangShin, they did not repackage the table under their own name. They told me their tables n Ergoworks’ are from KS! just different model. What a shock! Shocked coz Ergoworks kept denying, till Atwood verified. Shocked coz of the price gap but almost the same product, just different model. Therefore for those who intend to buy KS products, go Atwood, it is much cheaper! As for the package n all, u have to see what works for you.
How about me? I didnt get from the both of them, ke. I went for Kid2Youth. Personal choice lah, service, value for money & product look. -
We bought the tables and chairs from kinderfun a few years ago. Kids fought to use it. It was placed in their bed room.
Now, no one wants to use it. They rather do work on their bed, or on the floor in their room, right next to the table, or the dining table. Heartache for me coz we spend so much on it. So may want to think about investing so much. Novelty wears off, and it is now as good as a white elephant, and is used to hold their junk. -
I have both tables and chairs from kinderfun and Atwood (i.e. one set each). Based on my personal experience, it is you pay what you get…i.e. Atwood’s quality can’t hold a candle against kniderfun. The set from Atwood gives you the feeling that it is made in China whereas the kinderfun’s furniture gives you the impreesion that it is made in Western country.

According to Kuang Shin's website, beside design, manufacture & sell their own products, Kuang Shin is also a ODM or Original Design Manufacturer. An original design manufacturer (ODM) is a company which designs and manufactures a product which is specified and eventually branded by another firm for sale.
Perhaps Kuang Shin is Kinderfun's ODM for some or all their product ranges? -
I don't understand why some companies are not upfront about their products. SOme of them never say where their products are really from. I think it's not right. Consumers need to know where the products come from, the country of origin etc. I went to kinder fun and i asked them where there products are from. they only say formica from USA, gas system from germany and assembled in Singapore. But i saw their desk labelled as Comf-Pro. i googled it and i found it come from this taiwanese company Tay Huah...
http://www.tayhuah.com.tw/english/com.html
All I know is that Kinder Fun doesn't have any manufacturing facility... although you can dispute the definition of \"assembly\" if it means putting the different parts together ... then I guess every desk even Moll/Crosscom is also assembled in Singapore.
So in the end, i realize that all are from Taiwan: Kinderfun, Ergoworks, Atwood, Kid2Youth... -
Hi larkspur, may i know how is the ergonomic table you bought from Jarrons? Wish to get feedback from you before making a decision.
