Day 4: Harry Potter studios (tickets booked) - after the tour, drive to Heathrow to return the car . Take car service into London Soho area where our accommodation is.
Day 5: Visit a Park/ Museum (TBC which museum)
Day 6: Tower Bridge, Tower of London, Cruise to Greenwich
Day 7: Day trip to Cambridge
Day 8: Westminster Abbey, Buckingham Palace, London Eye/Harry potter at night
Day 9: Museum / Park / Shopping/ Harry Potter play (at night)
Day 10: Eurostar to Paris
We also plan to watch one more musical (in addition to Harry Potter), but have yet to decide which one. I would like to know if there were any particular activities that your teenagers enjoyed when they went to London? My girl is a HUGE Harry Potter fan, so we will also try to visit some harry potter filming locations along the way.
I also have a (very long) list of things to eat, and am not sure if i will be able to fit it in, but will definitely try! Sharing the list below for anyone who might be going to London too:
Belgo (mussels)
Gold mine roast duck (Bayswater)
Burger and lobster
Patty and bun
Flat iron
Duck and waffle
Shake shack
Dishroom
Kaffeine
Ottolenghi
Tommi’s burger joint
Breakfast club
Thanks in advance for any tips!
Duck and Waffle, you will have to book when the booking opens. That's 2 months in advance, if not you may not be able to get your preferred time slot.
at Burger and lobster, They only have 3 items on their menu - lobster, lobster roll and burger. Tho the lobster roll and burger are delicious, the best value for money would be to order the lobster. All priced at GBP20. Depending on which outlet you go to, you may have to queue. The one in Mayfair had the longest queue whereas the one at leicester square had no queue when I was there.
And while in Soho. Dont forget - Barafina, 10 Greek Street, Gelupo (best Gelato!!)
There's also great food in Cotswold. go to Stow on the Wold - Old Butchers. Good food, great prices too
As for museums - my kids and teens enjoyed Natural History Museum,, V&A (for those who love history), British Museum (Wow, wow, wow!!)
and don't forget to visit Borough market too!! Cheeses are cheap compared to Singapore, and if you love ravioli, go to the stall called La Tua.
