I saw cubicles outside of the classrooms, along the corridors. Is your girl referring to these cubicles? Not sure, if its for them to keep their things but I won't be surprised if it is. My girl brought books to school yesterday and today and her teachers collected them. Perhaps this is to help with the load that the girls have to carry to school. Also makes it easier for the teachers cuz the books are with them and they do not need to worry that pupils have forgotten to bring them for lessons.

err... i didnt sign up for the parent support group... would love to but... work lah.. will not be able to take time off to volunteer.

krazy, I was thinking of helping on ad hoc basis and taking off days for it

the locker is to help them with the bag load. Example, if they dont need the text books or the workbooks doesn't have homework for them, they can leave it in the locker instead of bringing back & forth. There isn't a lock on it. so far no one stole... (sch said) so it is pretty safe. just don't leave valuables in the locker.

thanks for the info. I've signed up for the parents support grp on ad hoc basis. Waiting for them to contact me when I am needed.

So... it is almost impossible to sign up with the parent support group. :

They have yet to email me... I did call the sch and they said it is managed by the parents. Asked me to email them again.... :razz:

I wish I could. I teach in a secondary school so I do not know the primary school system that well. Will try to ask some of my teacher friends.

Thanks a lot! I am trying to be more involve in my kid's school life so hopefully all the parents can help me along the way in this thread. I asked my DD last night about the locker but apparently she is unaware of it.
