Little Neuro Tree

Agreed with cookiecreature: Parents are still the BEST EDUCATORS. Although I send my princess to enrichment classes, i will still teach/guide and read to her almost every day. It is also a great way to bond, kiss and hug your little one (as rewards) every day :grphug:

Agree. Have to teach and guide my kid almost every day. Feel great when you see your kid improve day by day.

The so-called refund of $20 is more of a rebate and can be used only for the next term. Which means one has to commit to signing up with them once a term is over. To me, this is juz a ploy to retain customers.
MC is only valid if the class falls on the same day that the child goes to see the doc. What if the child goes to see the doc a day or two before? Everyone knows that common illnesses like flu, cough, fever etc don’t recover easily such that the child can go back to class the next day. And not forgetting that each class a week costs a good $50. I’m not surprised if there are parents who would still bring their child who are not even fully recovered (but may appear so) to class juz not to ‘waste’ the $50. -

Hi,
Anyone did a detail comparision between Shicida and LNT?
I attended a briefing by LNT before.
I was told that the key difference is different languages offered by LNT
and for shicida, they have esp and energy ball training not offered by LNT
I read from the forum that LNT do not have linking memory which is impt.
Is this linking memory something thought in Mindchamps? -
I think it is not easy to do a direct comparison, both Shichida and Little Neuro Tree are advocating brain Training / Development. and both school have some historical relation. if you can afford the budget, go for the more expensive one, we always believe the more expensive one must be better
Otherwise, go for the less expensive alternative , still expensive, IMHO, which has centres all over Singapore.
Just a note, my neighbours use to put the twins at Shichida, the mother said it is very stressful for her kids. My son is in Little Neuro Tree, he loves it. The teachers are extremely nice with children. -
Hi,
After attending the trial lessons with LNT, i personally like everything that was taught except for 1 thing, the jap language
to me, they are still trying to master english and mandrain, to introduce 1 more language to them is abit tough for both parents and kid
it will be great if they remove the jap language lesson.
anyway, i am still putting on hold my registration with them.
too bad shicida do not have trial lesson. -
I think both SM and LNT are linked. Started by the same people I think.
I find SM very very expensive, esp if so much work that contributes to the 'success' is by the parents. Perhaps if the parents put in those hours, with or without such enrichment classes, the result will be the same. -
If you try to talk to all the right brain educator u will realize all are the same as long as you do home practice everyday. Why is it ppl compare little neuro tree with SM? How about igenus?

Hi, just a feedback. My son just finished his trial lessons (3 lessons) with LNT @ Bt Timah Plz last week. The trial lessons are $180 ($60 each), which I thought it was ex. But thinking since its only 3 lessons, I could give it a try to test out the reaction of my son.
For the 1st 2 lessons, he was quite interested, could be bcos its something new to him. They have lots of activities, flashcards (accompanied with songs). However, I felt the 1hr flew past too quickly. W/o realising, the class is over and it means my $60 is spent just like this. The consolation is my son seems to enjoy it pretty much and Im comforted that he could do some of the activities.
However, when it came to the 3rd lesson (Jap), his concentration was off and he wandered round the class. I believe it could be due to 1) he doesnt understand Jap (neither does he understand Chinese too) 2) he has gone thru the lessons b4 in the 1st 2 lessons.
What I don’t really like is the lessons are conducted in a cycle (Eng, Chinese, Jap). Its a repetition in general, with some difference in activities. I don’t think the $50/$60 is well-spent if this is going to be repeated week after week, until the next cycle comes. If its cheaper, I prob may consider to continue.
