Got concerned when I saw some senior-level students with funky hairstyles, earrings, necklaces, colorful shoelaces on the first day of school.

Talking about the first day of school reminded me - the one thing I do not like about MSHS is the lack of communication. Ds went to school on the 1st day and at around 10am, smsed me to tell me he is leaving school. I called the sch to verify, and the admin staff who answered had no idea and had to check with someone else. Tsk tsk...

Ds is in Sec 3 this year, and no, I haven't seen any of the boys in earrings nor colourful shoelaces. That is rather worrisome should they be allowed in school like that!

We have managed to submit the CCA selection after a long wait. The system is very slow. Maybe many people trying to log on at the same time?

Me too… but no fret! Was told that for those kids who were unable to login, a hardcopy CCA Selection Form will be given to them today.

Looks like the standard has dropped, for last year, average L1R5 was about 12.3
Any one knows the highest number of A1s the students got ? how many got A1s & A2s ?
So guess this year the boys will not get a day off liao ...

By the way, can any one advise if the boys need to put on ties on Mondays only?
Also, I understand that the boys are supposed to wear their blue shirt on Fridays. But do they wear the blue shirt and white shorts to school? Or do they wear the blue shirt and black shorts? Or are they to bring the blue shirt and black shorts to school to change?

Another question please : on CCA. When can the Sec 1 expect to know the outcome of their CCA selection? And is it via the school’s student portal?

Yes Ties are put on on Mondays and Special Occasions only. The Blue shirt must be worn with the school pants on friday. Usually the CCA teacher will inform the student on the outcome of their CCA.
