Hello all, nice to ‘meet’ you. My girl is also attending CHIJ Kellock next year 🙂 I called up the school admin. and a lady told me our girl need to wear the school uniform on the orientation day. By the way, I missed the 3 days (21, 22 and 23 Oct) where they ask us to go down to complete some admin. stuffs. Was I the only one who missed it?

          Welcome Bunbun 🙂

I missed the 3 days also as the letter was received on Thursday... too late to make any arrangement.

I hv called the office, a lady told me that preferably to wear uniform on that day but it's ok not to wear if you can only get the uniform on that day (bookshop is not open on Saturday, & we are unable to make it on weekdays)

Can't get thro' the bookshop no. earlier, no updates yet.

I saw the Chinese textbook in Popular, not sure if it's cheaper to get it there...

I am not too sure too, if it is more economical to buy from Popular with the Member’s Card. Have to compare a bit first. Nonetheless, it is really a lot of things to buy lor. The blue mechanical pencil and blue lead item also puzzles me. Anyway, it is an out of stock item at the moment, according to the school’s bookshop. Oh ya … so is the bible. That is also out of stock for now. But I think they’ll have stock on the 21 Nov.

By the way Shizta, where do you stay? Nearby the school itself?

                Hello Shizta.

I happen to be near a popular just now and went to have a look. Just for reference, the Chinese CLPS 1A Activitybook cost $1.98 and the 1B Activitybook cost $2.25. Before member’s discount. Didn’t have time to look at the Textbook. I don’t think you have to worry much about the uniforms being out of stock bah … the lady who sold me the uniforms told me they have plenty of stock, even on the orientation day. Hope she is giving me the correct information.

Maybe you can PM me your mobile # and I’ll do likewise. Probably can catch up a bit on the orientation day itself. 🙂

Hi, the sale of uniform in sch canteen will start again from 16th Nov… So if you want to get the uniform before Orientation day, you can still do it.

                      Hi

Per the book list form we received, here’s the dates (think it includes the uniform) :

                      P1 only : 16-17/11, 21/11, 2/12, 3/12

                      All Levels : 23/11, 30/11, 1-3/12, 11/12, 14-16/12, 28-31/12

For those who has already bought the textbooks, did you buy the English & Maths books as they are not included in the book list ?

In total, how much did you spend for brand new set of textbooks & stationaries ?

Understand from the bookshop auntie, they do not have Math textbook. I didn't buy anything extra other than those stated in the book list.

Can't remember the exact amount I paid on the books.. you can just add up the booklist items. 🙂
