        Dolphinsiah,

Ya, do go to Universal Studio. Though some rides Q are long but a interesting and fun place to visit! 🕺

Some things in life are unpredictable, so no one should say that kind of nasty thing to you. Forgive and forget and move on. :imsorry:

Always look at the positive side of things and it'll make your life happier and easier. :rahrah:

Cheer up and do have fun for the New Year! 😉

Oh dear, DD now needs specs at a young age and I am expecting those irritating in-laws (not just the grandparents) to make irrelevant comments that will hurt a mother's heart.

I am not gonna let them get away with it. I am already rehearsing my acidic replies just in case. :nunchuk:

CNY! I love it! But I fell sick and things are piling up! 😢 Spring cleaning not completed, new clothes haven't' been washed and ironed, old stuff not given away yet...where is the karang guni man when you need him?

I have mixed feelings about the shopping - though crowded, it's really exciting - and the kids can feel the mood too. But must really visit Chinatown, cos these days, we see less and less street shopping so most of mood can only be felt there and in Shopping centers (also less)

I love the new year songs 😉

Visiting relatives - also mixed feelings. I like visiting, but can get really tiring. I really donna what to say with relatives esp. some in-laws whom I only see once a year. Very embarrassing sometimes - just a few words of greetings then mind goes blank... I find it comfortable just listening to the chatter going on around me.

Hope everyone has a good holiday! Happy Lunar New Year!

strangely I've never looked forward to CNY...but this year even more so cos SIL (DH's brother's wife and MIL's baobei DIL) is preggie with her 3rd child, dragon baby to boot. Can imagine all the comparisons with me and her (I only have one child) and all those inquisitive questions from the in-laws and other relatives...really wish I could skip this year's reunion dinner. 😞

Angelight… we are in same boat. DH’s bro’s wife is also MIL’s fave DIL. Every year I see the difference in treatment and get upset. Spoils my day. I am waiting for MIL and her fave DIL to make comments on my gal then I will pounce. RRRRrrroar

I can understand comments from the fave DIL coz there no blood linkage between her and your gal. But why would your MIL pass comments on her own granddaughter!!! :?

I belong to the MIL’s favourite type. But it is actually not fun. I do feel embarrass when pple praise me at the expense of others. And I feel ostracised by the others. And I feel isolated, though I try to jus smile n downplay things said abt me. I even try to be friendly, but don’t feel accepted by others.

Well, my MIL is one person who brags about her fave DIL's baby (aka fave grandson) at MY gal's full month party... and guess to who... to my parents! :siao:

So this woman might just feign ignorance and start making useless comments if her DIL questions me about my gal at the reunion dinner...

No appetite to eat already... these things really make the dinner very stressful and defeats the original purpose in \"re-uniting with loved ones\".
