hey plum cake can the books u mentioned used for P2 also? as my daughter is in p2.

For P2 I've used Grammar practice by study helpers
most of the time I've used the all in-one exam paper type books.
Learners basic english grammar as a guide.

Study Helpers (marshall cavendish) is great...I am using that to revise with my daughter. Managed to get a copy from Times bookshop. If I see one for p3, I may consider it. There was a 30% discount then.

                Hey plum cake,

Don't frighten me...the thought of my daughter doing science next year is scary...totally :nailbite: and πŸ˜“
She has already started remedial lessons...way before the first test in March. But that is ok lah, since her school wants to start early.

Yest was on singular/plural nouns...today on past tense. School starting to be quite ON :yikes:

                  Hi Plum-cake,

Do you revise/reinforce (for Eng) what has been taught in school daily ? I have decided to spend more time on my daughter this year as she has no tuition/enrichment centres other than remedial. Now I know why you need diff titles of Eng assessment...that one title may not be fantastic in another area :faint:

Yes I do revise all the subj. at home. this year she is using one book from preston publication at school for grammar. I asked her to note down the topics in her diary every day so I can keep a track on her. what I do is If she is studying adjectives then I take all the adj pages from the work books and make her try. If she is struggled to do then I explain those. but for vocab and creative writing part I am striving...her reading time is also shrinking... and for somedays she actually have no time. so I am a bit more concerned about her vocab.

What I did was to write down all the diff areas that was taught/tested in the stellar worksheets. Then I do what you mentioned...find few pages of singular/plural nouns in diff assessment books for her to practise. Having a problem coaching her in compo too...no time for that.
Since the start of this week, teacher has taught nouns, adjectives, possessive nouns and getting the girls to revise at home...no time to start comprehension and cloze :imdrowning:
