I am moving to Clementi, but will be staying 1 - 2 km from NH (not within 1 km ). Am I right to say that there will need balloting for my case should I enrol my kid to NH?

My kid is born in 2008, how soon can I sign up for PV?

As for P2C, u dun hv a chance for NHPS if u r not within 1km...

Like what mummy of 3 mention, getting into NH for those staying at 1-2km during phase 2B/2C is very low, esp during phase 2C. Here's the stats provided from the school website for your reference.

U only can apply 1 school in 1 Phase... If u PV in 3 school, in the end u also need to choose 1 to register...
For NHPS in P2B 2011, 9 ppl is balloting for 5 seats within 2km. Those outside 2km dun hv a chance to ballot.
Its gd to stay within 1km to your dream school... But things might change in the future. Eg Maybe 2012, P2B will ballot for within 1km

Staying within 1km definitely has advantage. When no. of applicants exceed no. of vacancies, the home distance will be taken into consideration. Top priority will go to those staying within 1km, then 1-2km and lastly > 2km.

I checked with the sch bus operator. Bus will arrive at my side around 6:00am - 6:10am. I am staying near Pioneer MRT there.

My boy is staying in school for Robotics CCA every Monday till 6pm. I wonder if any parent (or grandparent) would be keen to arrange an 'alternate week pick-up' arrangement. That is, we could take turns to pick up our our kids every Mon.
