Thank you! -
Maeyi:
last year ACJC was 7 for both Science and ArtsACJC COP ( nett) - Science 6, Arts 7. Arts is definitely partial, Science I am not sure.
CJC cutoff for this year 2012 JAE:
Arts (10), Science (10) -
My son’s Olevel result was net 8point. I heard that the COP for Anderson(science stream) is 8. But he was posted to SAJC. But since he wanted to go AJC, he appealed. Will he be able to go to AJC?

Hi alice97, I think got chance. My friend's ds who just met AJC cutoff last year also manage to appeal in. But if your son had the relevant cca, he will stand a better chance. All the best. Regards. -

What was his raw score? My dd's friend with raw score 10 nett score 8 managed to get in to AJC Science.
It is worth trying to appeal. The form is available on their website. There is nothing to lose by appealing. -

My friend enquired at the school yesterday. Apparently the COP for both Arts and Science streams is 9.Hi! I would like to ask for anyone knows NYJC COP this year? If nett 11 any chances to appeal? Please advise me.

I can't be certain though.
I say go for it! Especially if NYJC's your 1st choice in your JAE choices and if you have a strong academic record (for academic appeals) or can appeal using your CCA. Check out the column on the left of the website: http://www.nanyangjc.org/
NYJC was my first choice but I didn't get in (9 points after bonus points reduction).

Thanks! We have gone for the appeal and we are waiting for their call, I have called them yesterday and the list of appeal has gone up to 600 plus... quite shocking... anyway we will still try! Thanks!

Can anyone please enlighten me if raw score still play a role in the JC’s acceptance’ decision? Previously I was told that JC only look at the net score of the pupil, eg., the pupil who scored raw 12 net 8 stands the same chance as another who scored 10 net 8 and a higher chance over a raw 11 net 9 pupil.
