Thanks for sharingHi
I have been following kiasuparents and have picked up many valuable tips along the way. One of them was the recommendation of Herbal Basic.
I have tried numerous doctors and tcm. Even then i can't say who is best or worst cos this doctor might be lousy to me but he still has his followers. Eg. Dr XX at XXXXXX clinic at Paragon. My son had hives but he said it got nothing to do with food allergies. Just prescribe me some medicine and made me doubt myself.
But his symptoms persisted and so i went to see another dr at the same clinic. Did prick test and confirm my son did indeed has food allergies! And one of them was quite serious.
What i want to say is every doctor has his followers and a few who don't agree with them. I think it's chemistry.
I have been to the one at Kembangan and boy was i pissed. My son who was only about a yr plus, swept her namecards on the table and she scolded me how could i let my son did that! Talk about being specialised in kids and yet no heart for them.
My son went to ENT professor at Camden. Last resort dr suggested was to drain his ears and insert tubes. He was supposed to go for CT scan but refused to cooperate.
I almost wanted to give in to operation until i chanced upon Herbal Basic here in this forum. I went and it has been almost a month. With regular nose spa and massage, he slept better and no more eye bags! Their service is also very good and toilet very clean! Very important!
I am going to do his hearing test again. The allergies had affected him so much that his ears were blocked. Dr at kkh diagnosed him to have OTM. That was a few months ago. Fluid build up behind his eardrums and he can't hear clearly. His speech is affected.
With regular treatment at Herbal Basic, I hope my son will recover without operation.
To the one who said that just use cheap chinese herbs and they will be ok, please tell me more about it. Everyone here also wants to know. Who wants to spend $100 if $1 is sufficient? U are lucky that your kids are healthy and no need special medical attention. So of cos off the shelf medicine works for them. I wish my kids can too. Please try to understand parents who have kids who are unlike your kids. I have friends who laughed at me or gave negative remarks. It really hurts. So if you have better alternatives that you think will benefit others, then please tell us.
I wonder one can just purchase the nose spa and do it at home?Do you know how much is the device and herbs? If one can do it at home will save the time travelling there .
Thanks -
For my experience at Herbal Basic TCM, it’s seems to be helping my son’s condition as his blood test result before the treatment shows that he has allergy but after 1 month the result has improved. Their fee is not the cheapest but neither the very high end considering am not from a rich family but a almost middle income group. Have been to a couple of western and TCM and his condition has not improve. Again I believe every child is different and their body react differently too so need to try then you’ll know. Praise the Lord is working so far.

Hi,
I have tried a chinese herbal formula called Biminne for my Rhinitis and it has improved alot for long term. This herbal formula has gone through scientific clinical trial and was proven effective. It is mentioned in reliable medical source and not hear say.
Scroll down and you will see Biminne. I bought it from Australia since it is formulated by a Professor from Sydney University.

I went to Herbal-Basic TCM Clinic at 727 Havelock Road to treat my nose problem. I'm quite satisfied with this TCM treatment, considering the treatment result & cost vs ENT's treatments. No regret, you should try! -
Hmm…so is it better to sleep in a non air-con room or air-con room with a humidifier?

Hi,
Our doc said my ds has allergy rhinitis. I would like to check with you what do you do to minimize allergens in the house. Is there a type of anti dustmite spray for beds? He is so poor thing, nose choke, can’t taste his food well and this has been on the whole year. My heart aches seeing him like this. Any other method to help him relief the blockage, please share. -

I order from Allercare, http://www.allercare.com.sg. You can email your orders to them and they will deliver.Hi,

You can also get anti mite mattress protectors and pillows and bolsters. My kids have antimites everything on their beds, mattress, pillows, bolsters, comforters. Beddings are changed fortnightly. Mattresses and all are vacuumed mthly and treated with antimite spray. All beddings are washed with antimite solution. Strictly minimal pillows and bolsters and no soft toys in bed.
When the kids noses get very blocked, they flush them with Sterimar every morning and night. To help them breathe better at night, I put a few drops of tea tree oil on their pillows. Room temp at night should not be too cold and preferably, for my kids, no fan as fan stirs up dust and they will wake up sneezing.
