She wasnt offered any CCA at all so sad ! however, she was told that one of her CCA choices handbell ensem. still has places and that she can go for trial selection. I hv a question here, she went for this trial in the earlier round and wasnt even offered a place on waitlist, what are her chances to trying out again ?


Also, can someone advise me how can DD find out which CCAs still have places to fill ?
Any chance of an appeal to the Science and Environ Club which was her 1st choice (and she was on waitlist) ?

Heard from DD's seniors that the gals will be informed of CCAs that still have vacancies thru iNet. The gals can then go for trials for these CCAs.

Not sure if they go for re-trials for the same CCA that they've already trialed for though. Might be a good idea to email CCA HOD, Ms Ong.

Yes, UG will be DD's core CCA. She has been offered a merit CCA and she has already filled in the application form for 2nd CCA.
DD's still waiting for approval from CCA Teacher-in-charge and CCA HOD.

thanks so much for your message, I will ask DD to check on iNet for more info when she comes home after her 3rd language class this evening. I have also sent an email to Ms Ong, hopefully she can give us some useful advice.

For sports, usually you won’t be representing the school in your first year unless you have a lot of primary school experience, in which case you are a rare exception, or you’re a DSA in that sport. However, everybody else who’s in the sports CCA (based on experience and hear-say) will represent the school in C div in Sec 2!
