教育界对前校长卷入风化案件大表震惊，受访的家长则感到失望、气愤。有家长甚至感叹：“上梁不正下梁歪。这样的校长即使离开教育界，他的行为也会对教师和学生造成负面影响。”
被警方传召协助调查网上卖淫案件的前校长一向给家长良好的印象，岂料爆出这样的新闻，让人大跌眼镜。黄女士（51岁）告诉记者，她的女儿和同学都非常尊敬校长，他去年底突然离开学校时，不少人惋惜之余也很纳闷。学校的家长大多以为他是因为患上抑郁症才会离开，哪知是另有原因。
她说：“很失望，校长应该是学生和教师学习的榜样，他怎么可以做出这样的事？我现在最担心的是，他的个人问题不知道会不会影响学校的声誉，影响孩子。”
有家长阅读报章报道后，揣测着这名前校长应该是华文教师的背景。陈女士（54岁）就说：“如果他真的是华文教师就应该更懂得礼义廉耻的传统价值观。道德的线应该划在哪里，他应该非常清楚。他不仅是一校之主，还是人家的丈夫、孩子的爸爸，这样做让人对教育界心寒、心痛。”
不能一根竹竿打翻全船人
也有家长认为，案件发展至今还没有太多确切的资料，因此太早对这名前校长的行为下定论有欠公平。
资讯科技顾问王格隆（45岁）的两名孩子现在都在小学就读。他觉得不能一根竹竿打翻全船人。新加坡的教育团队的整体素质还是毋庸置疑的。不过，这件事提醒教育部，遴选教师，尤其是教育领袖的过程，非常重要，应该越全面越好。
王格隆说：“校长和教师都是特殊的工作，他们和孩子长时间的接触，影响孩子一辈子。教育部一直在扩大教师团队，希望他们继续贯彻认真挑选为人师表者的理念，不要为了凑人数而忽略教师的道德修养。”
本报昨天就这起事件向教育部做出询问，但教育部回复说案件还在调查中，他们不宜置评。 -

In fact, if you follow the thread, someone already posted the real school name with a link to the discussion thread on the principle suddenly resigned from the school in Dec 2011. -

problem is .... when MOE appoint a male to head the leadership position of a primary / Secondary school/ JC, how to tell the morals of a male character ?
They may need to spend some money for PI to investigate.....worth it or not? I am not sure.
