just throwing out some ideas only.
P1 registration already stressful, first come first serve is even more stressful.
phase 3 not only involve foreigners, it also may involve citizens who failed in phase 2c supplementary but who prefer to try their chance at a preferred backup school under Phase3 - this is a gamble they have to take; to try their luck in a preferred school under Phase 3 (if fail in balloting, stress level will be very high), or approach MOE to post them to school nearest to home (ie cannot choose the schools themselves) before Phase 3 commence.
Taken from MOE website:
Singapore Citizen/Singapore Permanent Resident children who are unsuccessful in obtaining a Primary One place in a school of their choice at the end of Phase 2C Supplementary should approach MOE to post them to a school near their home that still have vacancies.
http://www.moe.edu.sg/education/admissions/primary-one-registration/allocation/
Do also note the balloting criteria for Phase 3
Places will be balloted according to the following order of priority:
a. Children who are Singapore Citizens
b. Children who are Singapore Permanent Residents
c. Children who are not Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
Within each of the above categories, balloting will be conducted if applications exceed the number of vacancies. For categories (a) and (b), balloting will be conducted according to the order of priority based on the home-school distance category for Phases 2A to 2C Supplementary. For category (c), balloting will be conducted regardless of home-school distance.
After the balloting is completed, children who have not been able to obtain a place at their school of choice can go to another school with remaining vacancies to register on a first-come-first-served basis.
Good luck to everyone. -

On 26th itself we know the balloting results and we have to went straight to other choice of school on the same day if balloting results fail. Very stressful. Why falls on the same day?celinn:
then 25th is first come first serve or all balloting?
25th is registration. no first come first serve.
26th is the firstcome first serve registration for those who failed in the balloting for 25th.

my DD is in K1 now and we will go through this next year. im already preparing for it. (well at least the needed documents).
we went here when she was 2+yo. all of her vaccinations were from the Philippines. I know one of the requirement is the immunization record. i also know there is a central repository for that here but I we havent submitted hers yet. is this necessary for all schools? i have a certificate here from her PD listing also all the immunizations she had. will that be enough? or do we need to do something else? or provide other proof to the school? -

Hi,
Has anyone got a list of schools that have vacancies at Phase 3? I am starting to plan ahead for my DS for 2016 intakeβ¦
Thank you! -

Certificate from PD is good enough. Sometimes, the government registry does not have the full information. Like my case, they said my son lack of one vaccination whereby I need to photocopy back the PD's certificate to ask them to add it back.sakuratattoo:

Hi, i am new here and i would like to register my daughter for P1 this year for 2013 intake. I wonder if there is a list of schools that need to go thru balloting in Phase 3 for the past few years? This will help me to avoid these schools knowing i do not have second chance if i fail the balloting.
