my boy's student care centre is located in the sch itself. no mattress to nap (they juz lie on the table) and no bathing. is this common in a student care centre located in a sch setup?

They probably don't have the facilities to allow the children to bath. You could email the school to check if they could work out something with the studentcare (since the studentcare is using the school's premises, they are also subjected to the school's approval).

For mattress, it is difficult to store and takes up space. If your child really needs to nap, try asking if they allow your child to leave a sleeping bag at the centre and if they could allocate a space for them to nap.

I have parents who request for nap time at my studentcare and we do not have mattresses due to space constraints, but we welcome them to bring their sleeping bags and have allocated 1 classroom for them to take their naps. 🙂

        Regards,
        Mrs Wong

Activities would pretty much depend on the centre/teachers.

We had a series of activities by themes during the Nov/Dec 2011 holidays.
Students got to learn stuff out of their textbook and went on 2 excursions.
We also had students who only join us for school holiday programmes.

You can find out from the centre you are interested in. They should be able to show you what activities they did in the past and maybe what they have planned for the coming holidays.

                      Hi,

May I invite you to check out my centre at Ang Mo Kio?

We offer before and after school care with guided study time (similar to tuition).

Hi, Any good student care to recommend around Marine Parade area?

Does any parent know and can provide feedback on the BASC at the Marine parade Town Council? How about Kinderland at Marine Parade Central?

Which is a better one for guiding children to do homework and give them assessments?
