Intend to enrol my son for N2 next year Jan into Carpe Diem Starlet 120 in Choa Chu Kang.
They promote multiple intelligences, claims to build foundation for kids academically and also has a indoor gym
Any mummies with their kids already there and any comments? -

Basically, we are very disappointed with Carpe Diem programs. They do not incorporate any 5 \"MI\" teaching as mentioned in their website/student booklet. The quality and standard of the teachers are very low. They have big classes and the teachers spend lots of time to settle down the kids and hence do not have time to teach them and hence heavily depend on enrichment teachers to teach the kids. Too bad for those who cannot afford the enrichment classes. All the exercise worksheets are no different from what you can buy from outside bookshop. They seldom have art and craft (maybe one art and craft in a month).
Hi there, wat u mention is it from CD @ punggol? -
Hi there
I am considering sending my 2.5yo here as it is very close to our home. However I haven’t heard anything about the quality. The website didn’t impress me as the franchising system would probably promote an unreliable standard across the schools.
Does anyone send their child to this school? Does it have a high turnover of teachers? How qualified and caring are they? Is there a good atmosphere in the school between management and staff? Is the focus on play-based learning?
All comments appreciated. -
My son is at CD @ Punggol 21 since we moved in to Punggol 6 mths ago. We purposely choose this Child Care as my son likes outdoor activities, and he can’t stand whole day staying in the classroom.
The teachers have been very good and help him to adjust to the new environment. So far we are happy with our decision. -

I am also interested to hear any comments on this school.
How’s the teacher turnover rate like? How’s their program?? Do they follow the MI curriculum they put on their website?
Thanks. -

Hello, sorry for the late reply as i do not visit this site that frequent. I find the teachers are good and caring. Teachers pay attention to the kids and show concern if the kids are not behaving and will provide timely feedback to the parents.
I like the curriculum, as it involves some outdoor activities - gardening, mobile library and etc. My son doesn’t like to face the 4 walls all the day, which i notice that he did not enjoy the previous childcare located at the hdb void deck. This center has a small swimming pool hence the children is having the swimming lesson ‘in-house’, of course we need to pay a fee.
I think it is important for young kids to explore beyond the normal reading and writing tasks, to me it is best for kids to learn through playing. No worry about the mosquito as I hardly see my son got any mosquito bite.
You may want to visit the center to explore more, bring your kid along and let he/she to select the school that they want to attend.
