      Michelle Shen:
Ermm do you all have gd chinese assessment books to recommend? big headache when choosing books! *sigh* can we just get those books which are published by the chinese textbook publisher?

Yes, it's indeed a big headache finding suitable assessment books...esp for lower primary. At P3, there is more or less a standard exam format, so it's easier to find related assessment books.
There are several publishers now - SAP, EPH, Panpac, EPB, Victoria.

Oh yes, stick a tokuhon on your back or you will get backache from all the standing.

By the way, are you aware that the B book are out under the Confucius title? It is selling at $5.50 for member, usual price $6.95.

                Hi snow cloud,

                Thanks for informing me.
Bought the P6 bcos my son needs the drilling.
This time round, there are several new assessment avail. Backache today, after all the standing at popular expo. But I think it is better to get from the stores bcos more titles are avail.

                  Hi Janet,

You are welcome. I didn't go expo this time round, usually will go for the mid and year end expo as I will need to source for more books during these period. True indeed, some titles are only available at their stores so what I normally do is buy what I want at expo, then use the year end discount to make purchases for books that can,t find at expo πŸ˜„

I have not gone to popular expo for a while bcos of the crowd...looks like I will avoid going there again unless there is members only for 1st day.
End year, my legs are itchy and cannot avoid BookFest at Suntec. With holiday discounts, I can get several titles for next level. So my shelf is quite full with P3 titles already (daughter in P2). Perhaps end of this year can also get some reference books for sec 1.

Yup, it is a good idea to start sourcing for sec 1 during the holiday. For other subjects i am not sure, but for Chinese language, I saw new titles released late last year and early this year from sec 1 onwards which cater to those doing the newest syllabus. Hope by year end, we have more selection as sec chinese assessment books are limited.

I am still learning to buy appropriate assessment book for primary level (painful process). Secondary school kids are so busy, do they still have time to do any assessment ? Will need to seek advice from parents who have kids in sec 1...when my son is done with PSLE.
