[Hougang/Punggol/Sengkang] Preschools

Dear all, I'm expecting my 2nd baby and hence by the end of this year I would most likely have to send my elder girl (she will be 20mths in Dec2012) to a full day childcare centre as my mum and mother in law will not be able to handle 1 baby and 1 toddler + another baby of my sister-inlaws (one from each side)...


I've printed out a list of childcare centres in Sengkang from the Child Care Link website (http://www.childcarelink.gov.sg) and there are like almost 50 centres in Sengkang area. So I would greatly appreciate if any mummies and/or daddies can make some recommendations and share yours and you kid(s) experiences with the childcare centres, be it good or bad comments.

If anyone thinking of Kidz Plahouz at Punggol please DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR CHILD’S FUTURE. It’s a very bad school and I had a very bad experience as my son was tortured by the school teacher. I am already doing what is required as per the law and am waiting for a final decision. Please dont select this school there are better schools out there.

Very Bad School and had a very bad experience. My son was poked with a pencil several times and I have complaint to Police and MOE. Investigations are on and I will go all the way to get justice. VERY BAD PLEASE DONT SEND YOUR CHILD TO THIS SCHOOL

That’s horrible! I supposed it’s poked by the children in the childcare center right? The teacher should keep a close eye on the children.

Nopes they dont have a child care center and definitely not by other children as this happened several times but only now it come to point of taking help of LAW

My daughter went to that sch since N2. Now she’s in K1. Only recently that I got to know what is happening behind the closed doors. The sch lied to MOE & other parents that each class has 18 kids. But actually, each class has more than 25 kids! And to my surprised, the classroom was so cramped that some have to sit on the floor for the whole of the entire session. Some are lucky enough to sit on the chair. But since the centre is so small, there are not many furnitures around. There was 1 day (in fact 2 days), The centre had a meeting with the moe. In order to keep the truth, the centre split the kids into different timings only for those particular days & stated the reasons as Art Class & Music Appreciation consecutively. With all that said, true enough that the centre cannot meet the moe’s requirement to enrol less kids due to the space. Hence, they are ceasing operation wef 26/5/2012. My daughter brought home the letter. Now I have to scoot around for another sch for next term.

Anyone enrol your kids to Kinderland at Sengkang and My First Skool at Punggol too? Please provide feedback.

My girl was previously in kinderland sengkang and I withdrew her as soon as I found another cc. My girl was unhappy there. And I found that the principal and teachers were not strict with hygiene standards. And the principal was fierce with the children.

I'm a newbie, am currently preparing to enrol my baby gal who is now 13.5 months old for childcare placement in the Hougang vicinity for Jan 2013.
