I intend to ask the teacher tomorrow. If we don't see the compo results, how do I know how i can help my child to improve?

Also I feel that the school is not very forthright with results.

      Totall Agree!!! :snuggles:

Maybe they are afraid we will go to them and ask for 1 or 2 extra marks to boost our kids grade. :skeptical: But it is not our intention, it is something that we want our kids to improve on.
I've asked the school many times for the quality passes for last year's PSLE results and have not heard from them. I get the Impression that only Avril Wong did well.

Does anyone know if this is the same case for other schools as well. Dino mummy...maybe you can share...your kids came from another school right! My apologies if I got it wrong
Many other schools publish quality passes on their website.
My kid is w RMPS lah...For compo, I asked my colleagues who have kids from other schools, same as RMPS, they dun reveal compo and oral results. Compo papers were not returned to the kids/parents therefore, we dun noe how to help if the kid has not done well.

My kid oso said the P4 science paper is tough - the open ended qns. HJis frds compared the answers among themselves and realsied most have diff answers.

His teacher said some din do well in Eng oral so I am hoping he is not the one. So far, only Eng paper 2 and Maths reasults out...Today, Eng compo results will be out.

And the Malay book, you can get it from Popular TiongB. Somehow...I felt the school bookstore and School are not communicating. The store shld noe the kids will need the Malay books so should hv order in advance.

My friend is supermad :stompfeet: with her son's Science teacher, she complained that the teacher only gave them the Science Practice paper on last Friday and did not even go thru the paper with them. She says it is like throwing them into deep end of the pool and expect them to swim.... :imdrowning:

It makes me wonder if the teachers take pride in their profession or just going through the motions.... 🀷 :?

Perhaps you should tell your friend to feedback this to the Science teacher, or even the HOD Science.

Yes that was my advise to her as well. Let's see...

          Science Exam Paper

DS said the science paper was tough :faint: , wat abt other kids?
He feedback that one of the kids mentioned that it was easy :yikes:

Strange. Your boy told my boy the paper was very easy. 🀷

 I know! Maybe he didn't want you to set too high an expectation of him. It will be a pleasant surprise to you if he scores well, right? πŸ˜‰ :celebrate:

Dont think so...he sounded really worried when I talk to him yesterday..there was one question that I know he is completely wrong...

Wah didnt know that my boy will play mind games... :rotflmao:

Is the Conversational Malay book here oredi?

            Yes it is.

My girl went to the bookshop and said the book is sold out. I went to popular and it's not available too 😞 sigh!

I wish the school could let us know earlier so that we have more time to source for the book.

Dont worry my DS is in the same boat...also no book. :snuggles: By the time, they get the book...WAR is OVER..literally...haaaa
I wish the school could let us know earlier so that we have more time to source for the book.
Seems to me the school decided everything last minute and did not even communicate with bookshop to bring in more books to cope with demand.

My take on the compo issue:

                1. Schools (perhaps other schools) previously could have returned the scripts back to students, only to receive complaints from parents about the scores. Hence, MOE could have decided that schools should not return compo scripts back to students to avoid such reactions from parents.

                2. You have ample opportunities to help your child improve on his/her compo via the daily exercises assigned by teachers before exams. Teachers have indicated what are the areas the students should try to improve in these exercises.

Maybe the above are what the school thinks? 🀷 Just my guesses....

My boy will certainly need to attend the remedial lessons if there are any.
