Beautyseek, I had the same problems with my younger daughter. We sent her to ICR at Parkway for about a year and didn’t observe any real improvements. I feel I kind of wasted money.
Her sch teachers helped by putting her in a reading programme. She’s in P2 now and can read pretty well. From failing English and math (because she can’t read problem sums), she’s now managing very decent grades.

RE: 24 March 2016 Singapore Budget
Parents of babies born from today onwards will receive $3000 in CDA account and there are development programmes for children called Kickstart.
This year's budget is quite good for families with young children. But what about those from say 7 to 16 years old? They have been left out

Won't be able to join the class. I signed my girl up for a 3d2n sports camp and it clashes with the maths olympia schedule.Preggie,
If you are interested in sending your girl for the course, you may like to contact the service provider - HotHouse. URL as below:
http://www.econnections.com.sg/index1.htm
I don't think they will mind the \"house\" getting \"hotter\" with one more registrant.

Not sure if DS will be punished :nailbite:
I am sure he won't be the only one without book. My boy doesn't have the book either.
The one to be punished should be the school?
My boy was so
yesterday. I told him to ask the teacher to call me if the teacher were to punish him (just to assure him).
But, seriously, I don't think the teacher will be so unreasonable. -

Totall Agree!!! :snuggles:
I intend to ask the teacher tomorrow. If we don't see the compo results, how do I know how i can help my child to improve?
Also I feel that the school is not very forthright with results.
Maybe they are afraid we will go to them and ask for 1 or 2 extra marks to boost our kids grade. :skeptical: But it is not our intention, it is something that we want our kids to improve on.
I've asked the school many times for the quality passes for last year's PSLE results and have not heard from them. I get the Impression that only Avril Wong did well.
Does anyone know if this is the same case for other schools as well. Dino mummy...maybe you can share...your kids came from another school right! My apologies if I got it wrong
Many other schools publish quality passes on their website.
