    • RE: I Can Read - Discussion

Beautyseek, I had the same problems with my younger daughter. We sent her to ICR at Parkway for about a year and didn’t observe any real improvements. I feel I kind of wasted money.

Her sch teachers helped by putting her in a reading programme. She’s in P2 now and can read pretty well. From failing English and math (because she can’t read problem sums), she’s now managing very decent grades.

    • RE: 24 March 2016 Singapore Budget

Parents of babies born from today onwards will receive $3000 in CDA account and there are development programmes for children called Kickstart.

This year's budget is quite good for families with young children. But what about those from say 7 to 16 years old? They have been left out 😞

      Hi all,

Anyone has experience hiring a maid from Mizoram? I’m considering replacing my current Indonesian with one.

      Preggie,

If you are interested in sending your girl for the course, you may like to contact the service provider - HotHouse. URL as below:

      http://www.econnections.com.sg/index1.htm

I don't think they will mind the \"house\" getting \"hotter\" with one more registrant. 😉
Won't be able to join the class. I signed my girl up for a 3d2n sports camp and it clashes with the maths olympia schedule.

      Hi,

Does anyone know what time does the Maths Olympaid for P3 & P 4 class starts and ends during the 1st week of school holidays?

      Blur mummy

      8.30-10 am

Is this only for selected kids? My girl didn't tell me anything about it.

I managed to buy the book from popular at tiong bahru yesterday. There were about 4 or 5 more copies left.

Not sure if DS will be punished :nailbite:

I am sure he won't be the only one without book. My boy doesn't have the book either.

The one to be punished should be the school?

My boy was so 😓 yesterday. I told him to ask the teacher to call me if the teacher were to punish him (just to assure him). 😉 But, seriously, I don't think the teacher will be so unreasonable.

Is the Conversational Malay book here oredi?

      Yes it is.

My girl went to the bookshop and said the book is sold out. I went to popular and it's not available too 😞 sigh!

I wish the school could let us know earlier so that we have more time to source for the book.
