        Anna Ng:
Iโ€™ve sign up a bus transport; my hubby told me is $40 for 2 ways and $30 for one way, how come you said $45 per month? I think maybe due to different transport provider.

Distance is also a factor for difference in transport rates. Children in different areas can/may be charged differently. $45 per month is pretty standard if you're staying within the school's radius. If you try calculating the amount one has to pay when sending on their own via public transport, the amount cud be higher. Factor in 2 persons travel expenditure. Child + Adult (sender). Also if it rains, it's inconvenient plus even with umbrella child + sender will still get wet. Shoes, socks and bag can get wet and make child uncomfortable in class. If not, have to pack all in plastic bags... then upon reaching the school, have the child put on everything before entering the school.
        Anna Ng:
I am a bit worry he will not know which bus to get in on the first day. I am thinking to take half day noon leave on the first day to monitor this. Furthermore, since the government is giving 6 days child care leave, must fully utilized. Hee ! Hee! Always support government in this manner.
Children have specific name tags for identification. Teachers also have a list of children taking transport. Bus operators sometimes either assign number stickers or coloured stickers to the children so they know which group/bus they are in. Before dismissal, teachers would have the children separated in their dismissal groups. ie. Children fetched by elder sibling/parent + children taking transport. Upon dismissal the children will join their respective queues to board the bus and head-counts will be done to match their transport list.

Don't worry, my girls have taken transport since nursery days. They enjoy it very much. Plus rain or shine they arrive in school and back home, safely and on time.

Hope this sharing will help to assure other parents with children taking school transportation. ๐Ÿ˜‰

                Hi mummies,

Silly question, should the name tag be placed on both uniform and PE shirt ?

For my kiddie's school at least, YES.

Only need to confirm with the school
whether on top of the logo or below
the school logo, that's all. And that is
not a silly question. It is a valid one..
Cos i had similar doubts when DD1
                  first entered P1. ๐Ÿ˜‰

The name tag to be above the pocketโ€ฆwhich will be above the sch badgeโ€ฆ PE shirt not required to hv the name ironed/sewned.
