Hi,
my first child is attending MASC at JP. I am quite happy with his improvement. Wanna send my 2nd child there as well. They have a promotion whereby if my 2nd child is recommended by a parent whose child is at any MASC, my registration fee will be waived and your child will be entitled to 1 free lesson. I dun want such a deal to go to waste. So any of you interested? We will only need to exchange our child’s index no. Interested, pls reply. Thx. -
Hi,
Do you mind share abit more about the MASC in JP - which level is your child in? What makes you send him to MASC initially? Whichschool is your son currently studying in and in what way you see improvement that you can share with us?
Thank you.hshs:

My child is currently in p3. He is in one of the neighbourhood schools in Jurong West. He has always been able to cope and do well in his class work. But when it comes to exams, he had problems with open ended cloze passages. I realised that his vocabulary was weak. In addition, his teachers had always commended on his creativity- the way he shares his ideas with his class but I had hardly seen it in his compo writing. Hence I was looking out for a good tuition centre which could help him. My options were BC, MASC and Learning Lab. In terms of distance, MASC is the most convenient so I settled for it. In addition all their teachers were native speakers which I thought will do more good than harm to my son.
My son likes to read but he has to like the book first. There were many a times when he disliked books I bought for him or even those which were chosen by him. Hence, he didnt bother finishing those books. At MASC, they have set up library in every class and contain books relevant to particular age groups. Every week, students are to borrow 3 books each and read them by the next class. In order to ascertain that the students have read the books, every week they are asked to either write a book review or orally share it with the class. To me, tis also helps to build my son's self confidence as he is usually shy and takes a long time to warm up. SO far, my son loves every book that he borrowed from MASC and most importantly he enjoys attending classes there. He is always looking forward to it. There is also improvement in his marks compared to his mid term. So I guess its a win-win situation for both my son and me. :celebrate:
MY son had just started out in Aug tis yr. And recently we had our PTM at MASC . His teacher was full of praises for him and had even recommended him for the accelerated/extended class nex yr. According to him in this class, though all the kids are in p4, they will be doing work comparable to that of p6. SO i am hoping to see far more improvement in my son in the coming year
