I would have to rely on DH to take photo of her work before I can post here. 😉

Sure, will bear in mind the 5 Dec \"deadline\" that you have just given me. 😛

On parking, I can't give much advice as DD's class is on weekday and it is our helper who sends her there and then waits for class to be over before fetching her back home.

There were some new directives about waiting in the service lane in the school compound, but I can't remember what they are. I think you may call up the school and ask about that. Otherwise, having both of the parents sending her to class is definitely one solution - one drives and spin around while the other brings her up to class.

Busymom: The schedule given to us to choose only has Sats and Suns, no weekdays. No hurry let your husband take his time. Thanks!!

          Hi doraemon

With apologies, these are some of the art works by DD in NAFA during this year. I find them more \"care-free\" in the way that the work was done, definitely more to encourage creativity than the technicalities. Of course, I have already picked the better pieces here 😉, some of the others are a bit more messy or abstract in my opinion.

As said before, they were done on different media. The second one was on cloth (batik painting), the second last one was on a piece of hard board and the last one on a recycling bag.

            doraemon:
yes it would be helpful to let me know what time i should be there to Q for a slot for him.

Hubby arrived around 6am to queue. He wasn't the first, some parents were earlier. Good idea to bring along breakfast & newspapers to pass time since registration only starts at 9am

Shortlist a few timing. No time to ponder once registration starts at 9am as around 5 parents are being registered concurrently. So in case your 1st choice not available, you can quickly try the next. Our 1st choice timing only left 1 or 2 vacancies, that class filled up in less than 5 minutes from the moment registration started

            doraemon:
my friend was telling me that best is 2 persons to send so that 1 can drive while the other send the kid to class as difficult to get parking there. If any how park then chances of getting fine is high....
There are a number of buidings nearby. More than sufficient parking space. Not necessary to do drop off by the road side

Hi Busymom, thanks for the posting of the pictures. They are eye-catching and pretty considering it being done by a 5 yr old child. Thanks to your hubby for his time.

                  Hi doraemon

You are most welcome. Glad to be of help in some way towards your decision-making. Just to add, as I have omitted to mention earlier, the children did a fair bit of craft work as well, like claywork, puppet making and painting on piggy bank.

Just to share my experience with you, but do not hold me to it...

As mentioned in my earlier post, I got there pretty late last year as I forgot about the registration. When I first passed by the school on that day (close to noon already), I went in to find out if the registration was still opened. It was but I couldn't get any queue number as I did not have the letter with me. Then I rushed home to get the letter and a cheque, etc., had a quick lunch, and went back again. Still had to wait for quite some time when I got back there. I was fortunate in that the school decided to open up some Friday classes to accommodate all who were on their mailing list. That was the reason why doraemon was saying that there was no Friday class on the notification letter. There wasn't any in our letter as well.

As long as you do not get there too late, I believe you should get a class, just not at a timing that you would have wanted originally.

wow...didn't know that this art class is that popular! Could someone enlighten me as to why, compared to other art classes out there...? :?
