PSLE 2009 RESULTS!!
-
hello parents,
please help me. my DD score is 227. will i be taking a risk if i put the following choices...
1st = 229 COA (close to my home & some of her friends with higher scores going there as well)
2nd = 227 COA
3rd = 222 COA
4th = 212 COA
5th = 220 COA
6th = 223 COA
the 5th & 6th choice though had a higher COA but their 2008 GCE O Level results fails to fall in the first 9 bands. is this an important criteria ?
is it possible that this year they might bring down the COA ?
i will really regret i did not try the 229 school & if her friends with lower score get into the 229 school as their first choice.
please help :?: -

The Same confusion :?
This is very important contradiction... Any other opinion. If there is fraction in the T-score , they will print in the result sheet, so that it is fair to let student know that you had high 230( 230.9) & hence you got in against the low 230( 230.1)
In my opinion, no such decimal exist anywhere in MOE databank... Singapore system is transperent... hence only thing matter now is Whether those who put as 'First Choice' are prefered over 'Second choice'
Two Booklets are 'Slient' about it ,hence please .... please ...please post opinion -

Hi,
For kids from EM3 stream but was eligible for NA stream in secondary school.
Possible to opt for NT instead since selection of NA for EM3 students are real limited?
Anyone knows? -

Definitely not true. Many years back, my niece with 263 (I think) opted for RGS. 263 was the COP that year. Her friends with the same score got in but she didn't. Many others with 263 also didn't get in. If they accept all with 263, there might be too many for the school to absorb. I believe if the additional students wanting to join exceeds by 1 or 2 then the school probably can accept.atutor2001:

l... that is if they take 1 student with 230 , they will take all who has opted for that school in one of the 6 choices.....
For such cases where there is a tie with all the students having opted for that school as 1st choice, how they decide is a question mark. Maybe by the decimal points behind the aggregate.
So for students whose aggregates are exactly at the COP of their \"choice school,\" there is a danger of being squeezed out if he/she didn't put the school as first choice.

I really need input , else i may have to play safe & put safe choice as 'Fist one'
Really stressed :?[/quote]MOE has the complete list of results with many digits after the decimal points. That is how the computer allocates places. This is confirmed by an MOE official we spoke to. -

You are welcome, likoko and everyone. The penguin animated by playing a series of frames. I did not make it. I'm sure you can google and find plenty of other even more cute ones for your avatar.
