Hi
How is the curriculum for P1? Tough , got lots of homwork? need tuition? what do they emphasis for term 1, 2 and thereafter? -

From my experience with DD when she was in P1 2 yrs ago, the pace was very comfortable, hardly any homework. A fair bit of show and tell, both English and Chinese. Frequent bite size tests but nothing to worry about. Just treat it as a revision of what is covered for the mth.Hi

On the whole, not the stressful drilling scenario that a lot of parents say branded schools are known for. Most importantly, I find most of the teachers pretty prompt in their communication.
And oh yes, :welcome:

Btw yr girl is in P3 now...will there be a big quantuam jump from P1P2? -

In terms of work load. Not really. Still manageable. Only thing that she feels is a fair bit tougher is Chinese. But that could be due to her taking HCL now. I have a feeling the teachers went easy on the girls during the mid year exams since that was their 1st exam. The papers were reasonable, no 'killer' questions.

Check the spelling of your dd's name. Once, my dd's unsw cert has her name spelt wrongly. Told the teacher, who took her cert back and sit on it for many months and lost. Complain, found in the end, name was amended, long painful process .... -

sometimes, it is better for twins to go separate class - so that they get more chance & exposure to make new friends for healthy social interaction, instead of sticking together often, if remain in the same class. At home and on school bus, twins can see each other again.
you can make a request to the P1 Registration Officer on duty during time of registration, to let them join separate class (if desired). -

Tks! That is definitely going on my to-do list..
Sometimes they coord n do so many things together its just annoying. Separation will help groom their independence.
