      LostinWoods,

You can view my post at http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=24479&p=815719#p815719

Firstly, in this world, no policy can make everyone happy. There will always be a group who will be disappointed. It is to be expected. But, the policy needs to favour the majority. As a Singaporean, I expect likewise. I don't want to blow my horn any further as a Singaporean, hurting my PR friends alike. But, any society should work that way to prevent discontent among the majority.

Secondly, parents will be parents. Most of the discussion in this forum surrounds around getting their kids into the schools of their choice whether it's a top psle producing school, within walking distance, having a good curriculum etc. as prioritized by the parents. It's never about getting into a school. That has been ably taken care by the government and their statisticians. Kudos to that! We don't have to worry about that.

Lastly, this is my opinion. If you feel otherwise, that's yours...

      šŸ˜„
You can keep your opinion to yourself as according to MOE, every schools is good school (quoted fm moe, don't play play) and there are enuff schools ard ur area. The problem is not that there are not enuff school near ur place but it is your choice for not selecting these two schools. Of course i know all parents want best for their kids but moe thinks these two schools also good leh. Perhaps u shld try to convince moe that u think otherwise for the two schools. Gd luck and it has nothing to do w me which school u like or don't like. I was just replying ur post on any other schools to consider without knowing how much u detest these two schools.

I don't see anything new here. What was available yesterday continues to be the same...
        I have attended ballots in Phase 2C twice (2005 n 2012).
Knew the heartache n the troubles faced by the Phase 2C supp or 3C parents..

I calculated those numbers that didn't get a place today and grouped by area (assuming they would continue to apply a place in the same area). Hope below information would help in a way or another, and give u a rough guide of how many fighters are in the same situation in below area/zone.

        Area \"2C suppVacancy\"\t \"Possible 2C fighters in 2C supp\"

              Hi Nite,

I am in the same boat as you. My gals (paisei i need 2 vacancies cos twins :P) also due for P1 reg next year for 2014 intake. Piggy year, many children were born due to Golden Piggy year? I am living in Holland, directly opp Holland V, pretty near to Fairfield & HPPS. Both sch are within my area but, looking at this year results, dont think I can 'grab' a seat from them no matter 2B or 2C. Cos to Farfield my distance is 1.4km & HPPS 1.5km. I am not able to go for balloting under 2C either cos this yr 2c needs balloting for all under 1km only. Really hopeless here...how ah? sigh.....this system really
sucks. From now 2012 Aug, I got to be very stressed over this until next yr July for registration Sigh !!
              hi patlsy79

looks like your location distance neither here nor there. for ur twin dd'es suggest niche plays like St Margaret's at 2C. This year 53 SCs staying >2km ballot for 52 places. Am also a twin parent, but they're Moo Moo Cows šŸ˜‚

I just could not sleep last night. My dd got balloted out at phrase 2 c yesterday. It is very disheartening as we have been planning for last years and move closer to the school to at least has a chance to ballot. I keep telling myself that it is fated and I have to move on and see it as a fate and accept it. But it actually does not help at all. I have been crying and really not sure how long it will take me to accept this.

What is your backup school? Look forward and prepare for P2CS registration. Don't think back. You have already done what you could for your girl. Who knows, it may be a blessing in disguise. You girl will like the school that you eventually get for her. Cheer up!

Andychng, thanks for your effort in putting up the figures. It will be useful for those parents under 2Cs
