I wouldn’t blame him totally if his wife is reluctant to satisfy his needs. If this is so, then his wife is to be blamed as well. After all, he is a man and we can’t expect him to lead a monk’s life for the rest of his life. So for outsider, it is not for us to judge him unless u know the truth.

Actually more impt to see % of students getting above certain pts. What so great abt a school who produce one or two top scorers but the rest get below national average pts?

      nite:
      LostinWoods,

You can view my post at http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=24479&p=815719#p815719

Firstly, in this world, no policy can make everyone happy. There will always be a group who will be disappointed. It is to be expected. But, the policy needs to favour the majority. As a Singaporean, I expect likewise. I don't want to blow my horn any further as a Singaporean, hurting my PR friends alike. But, any society should work that way to prevent discontent among the majority.

Secondly, parents will be parents. Most of the discussion in this forum surrounds around getting their kids into the schools of their choice whether it's a top psle producing school, within walking distance, having a good curriculum etc. as prioritized by the parents. It's never about getting into a school. That has been ably taken care by the government and their statisticians. Kudos to that! We don't have to worry about that.

Lastly, this is my opinion. If you feel otherwise, that's yours...

      😄
You can keep your opinion to yourself as according to MOE, every schools is good school (quoted fm moe, don't play play) and there are enuff schools ard ur area. The problem is not that there are not enuff school near ur place but it is your choice for not selecting these two schools. Of course i know all parents want best for their kids but moe thinks these two schools also good leh. Perhaps u shld try to convince moe that u think otherwise for the two schools. Gd luck and it has nothing to do w me which school u like or don't like. I was just replying ur post on any other schools to consider without knowing how much u detest these two schools.

      Hi Patlsy79,

I share the same concerns with you. If you are from this area, you should know....

      As for LostinWoods,

I don't want to sound rude. Needless to say, you are really \"lost\". You should try figuring out why the places at New Town and Queenstown Primary (next closest school) are not taken up at P2C by now...
Hi Nite,

I am in the same boat as you. My gals (paisei i need 2 vacancies cos twins :P) also due for P1 reg next year for 2014 intake. Piggy year, many children were born due to Golden Piggy year? I am living in Holland, directly opp Holland V, pretty near to Fairfield & HPPS. Both sch are within my area but, looking at this year results, dont think I can 'grab' a seat from them no matter 2B or 2C. Cos to Farfield my distance is 1.4km & HPPS 1.5km. I am not able to go for balloting under 2C either cos this yr 2c needs balloting for all under 1km only. Really hopeless here...how ah? sigh.....this system really
sucks. From now 2012 Aug, I got to be very stressed over this until next yr July for registration Sigh !!

How abt new town pri? Within 1km or < 2km? Plenty of vacancies at 2C
You are right that I am lost in knowing both schools. The problem is parents are just being choosy and complaining when they can't get the school they want. The current system is not 100% flawless but changing it doesn't mean it will b better as one grp is happy, the other grp will b unhappy.

I am within 1 km to Nan Hua & QiFa in 2C registration phase. Should I ballot in Nan Hua against the advise of good will & experienced parents, and risk being in turmoil to search for a place in 2CS? Or register directly at QiFa & start to focus on getting ready for school?

Really appreciate if you can share your advise/opinions. Where would you register?
Why not consider clementi pri? If I were u, I will monitor nanhua and clementi pri and see the % of success for both before deciding which school to go for balloting. If risk of balloting out is not much diff, I will go for nanhua. Qifa will b in my phase 2C supp strategy.

I see those with clan or church affiliation are the one with highest over enrollment. These schools are the one to watch out at P2B.

I am staying in Botannia and there are quite a lot of expat, all nationality.

The Parc is out of 1km, I know of 6sc PV residing in one of these condos.
There are 4 blocks out of 7 blocks in The Parc which is within 1km of NHPS.
