Getting into a big law firm is actually for name only just like getting into branded schools. From what I know, if you are in a big firm, you will be doing very specialised work there. As a pupil, you don’t really learn much cos all you do is only one aspect of the law. In fact, you will be doing lots of paperwork, drafting and redrafting docs for one or maybe two lawyers the most and running errands like checking up on certain aspects of the law. If you join a small law firm, you’ll be more exposed cos you maybe the only 1 or 2 pupils in the whole firm. You’ll definitely be more better off than your counterparts. Some pupils even get to go to court with the lawyers. Small firms, therefore, is a better training ground.

I doubt the law is interested whether the affair is EMA or they develop their relationship and become husband and wife later.

AC_Power has explained rather clearly in his post earlier:

When I was in sec school here, one of my ex teachers actually married one of his former students. But he only wooed her after she graduated. So I think can lar, but when there is still 'conflict of interest', better play it safe lest tongues are wagging.

I wonder how are they going to prove that the girl indeed did get better grades than she deserved. Are they going to dig out all the papers and asked a team of professors to regrade them independently? Otherwise, if it is not proven, even if there is an intention, there is no actual act.

              I think legally,
Once one accepts a bribe, then it is a crime , he doesn't have to deliver his side of the deal.

That monk and Kong Hee were former RI students...it's a pity they brought disgrace to their school. RI is the most elite boys school...these men are accused of misappropriation of funds.

Back to this case. The law lecturer is defending himself.
