thanks u mummies for all the replies! my concern is to get a student care. if the student care is a distant to the sch, when they have enrichment and CCA, will the centre be sending them over?prefer those in house student care…a pity that this sch doesnt provide this!:(

Does this sch has higher chinese?

Higher Chinese is available starting from P5.

As in most other schools they will stream the girls for Chinese in the middle of P1. The majority will stay in the core group following the standard syllabus, the weaker ones will join the bridging group which has extra help to learn the basics and bring them up to standard, the stronger ones will join the enrichment group which is given some higher level work to do. These will be the candidates to do Higher Chinese in later years although there is movement between the groups where necessary so it is not set in stone.

Would you want to try checking out at Cambridge in Serangoon Garden Club?

My gal attending her nursery class there and I think they have student care as well. I ever saw some bigger kids around in the morning. I don't send my gal to sch this day so not sure they still have it.

Hope this info is helpful to you. 😄

              Hi, I’m new here.

My girl has just been balloted in for OLGC. The next in line to settle for my dd is the after school student care. Would like to check if there is any nearby around the school, preferred within Serangoon Garden, if possible.

              Thank in advance.

hi mummies, thanks for the reply.I’ve actually called up cambridge to enquire. Was really pleased when there’s a childcare and a student care as well. Which means her sister will be in the same school as well. But, the fees are quite high. Was also wondering if the school has any cca school that will pick send them for students who need to stay back after school?

                    Hi poppin86,

Hahaha.. forgot to warn you fees can be quite high at Cambridge :moneyflies: . There are other childcare centres in Serangoon Garden but I am not sure they have student care too. You may try to call:

                    - Cherie Hearts at Brighton Crescent (along Serangoon Garden Way)
                    - Blossom Discovery along Chartwell Drive (the lane going towards OLGC, near the circles)

Just to warn you that fees are not cheap around Serangoon Garden. :xedfingers:

Blossom is no longer at Chartwell Drive, they have moved to take over the childcare on Lorong Chuan just before the Caltex station.

[/quote]About the CCA bus, yes, there are buses to take them home after CCA which ends at 3.45pm. Just need to pay something like $2 for the trip. Most of the students start on CCA in P3. But there are some who do CCA from P1.
