      4) Bukit View Sec School
      5) Dunearn Sec School
Can anyone advise me on above mentioned school? Thanks

My hb is old boy of Dunearn. I would say they have very very strong Alumni. My hb still helps out at school for school events & camps. Not too sure of their academic status now, but behaviour wise, the kids seem quite alright. I do tag along my hb when he goes for events & camps 😛

I am also choosing sch for my girl. I stay at CCK.

Teck Whye, Greenridge & Regent --> No No

Tanglin - someone told me the incident about porn movie is this sch & the principal didn't handle properly.

Dunearn, Shuqun, Kent Ridge - okay.

              Hi,

Need some advise for secondary school in West.
My son PSLE score was 214 and I’m thinking of choosing :-

Choices in order Last year minimum aggregate score
              1. Choa Chu Kang 217
              2. West Spring 223
              3. Westwood 211
              4. Zhenghua 210
              5. Dunearn 204
              6. Greenridge 206

I know my 1st and 2nd choices are risky but I’m more concern on my 3rd and 4th choices order. Expected him to get the 3rd or 4th choices.
Can anyone assist me in my 3rd and 4th choices order?
I went to both school open house today, and was please with Zhenghua, looks more lively in the school if compare to Westwood as Westwood did not shows a lot.
Is there any other secondary school to suggest to me.
I’m staying in Chua Chu Kang.

Appreciate any advices, comments and recommendation.

Is your boy eligible for Express or N(Acad)?

Hi, Jennifer,, Thank you for your reply..my boy can eligible go express(but not much good school around west site)..so i may consider to let him go N(Acad) in good school, and trying pushing n encourange him in sec 1, if have good results, may trn fr normal to express in S2.

But im not sure is it every school marks was 70 n above in every subject average, i it possible to trn him fr normal to express. :?

Currently im considering a few good school but in normal,eg Bukit Panjang Govt High,Swiss Cottage,ACS(hear fr others if non-affli school no eligible to apply :? )....

                Kindly advise :thankyou:

                    Hi,

Can someone help to advise whether Kent Ridge or Tanglin Sec is better in terms of academic achievements and character development? I heard that Kent Ridge has bad disciplinary problems, anyone heard anything about it?

Considering Tanglin Sec because of its Track and Field, but is this school ok for character development? Are the teachers laid back or do they persevere to push the students?

                    Thanks and best Regards,
                    JP

I don't hv much comment on Bt Panjang Govt High or Swiss Cottage other than the few pupils I see on the streets or my neighbourhood seems pleasantly behaved.

I have this mentality that the less pupils seen loitering around shopping malls the better the sch is or the more pupils seen in the library studying the better the sch is. May not be true but it's just my old sch of thoughts.
