Sorry. I just wanted to be sure cause I remember we communicated under the RGPS thread.
RGPS did better this year, especially the top students.
We have selected RGS as 1st choice followed by NJC,MGS,SCGS…

yes, dharma, we did exchange some views on all girls' sch in rgps thread. (u got gd memory, guess that was the only time me talking in rgps thread)

i remembered at that time u were rather anxious abt yr gal not able to go to a all girls' sch, but fr what u had said now, she performed better than u expected.

i think for 267, your daughter should be able to get into 1L or 1K. the 2 school based gep class. we learn slightly more, especially in math and in science we go online for maybe one or 2 extra quizzes and stuff after every topic. sometimes we get about 1 or 2 extra worksheets instead of quizzes.


but overall, it’s about the same, the students from other classes perform better sometimes though because there are many people that work hard. and theres only 25 in a sbge class while other classes have about 36.

prob u could help me with the following Qs:
1)will these 2 classes having longer sch hrs??

2)btw, how many \"long days\" and how many \"short days\" in a week or what u had said......timetable go by 10 days?

3)do u know what are the CCA days for English dance that u had recommended? (i need to know so that it won't clash with the ballet class)

4)u oso mentioned abt the CHAMPS and STARS system, are Clubs under the STARS system? can she just choose 1 CCA fr the STARS system instead of the CHAMPS system? ( i was told that in the past, just 1 CCA would do)

1. nope. not longer school hours. and the classes are not ranked. the people with higher scores and the people that were in gep go there. they are not ranked, just 2 classes that learn more.


2. for me there is one day which is 3.45 or 3.15 and 3 days of 1.45 and one day of 2.15. yep. perhaps theres some slight differences between the 2 weeks.

3. i think for english dance, it's uhm mondays and fridays.

4. and you must take a champs cca. a club won't do. a club which is a star cca is like uhm, something extra.

would like to find out if guzheng as cca in dhl is demanding, i mean like how many times a week? how long each practise?

oooh. for guzheng. i think it's also twice a week but it'll increase during competition periods. not sure of the days. normal for all ccas. guzheng is somehow co-related to chinese ochestra.

My friend's son was rejected by DHS, he was so upset. He though it is because of GAT, he said how could a school based on GAT to rejected him. (His school result is really not that good 65% average) I have to be cruel to tell him, it is not only GAT, he has to work hard for his PSLE.


Why he thinks it is GAT failed him ? His cousin also rejected few years back, and he was told he failed GAT. I don know the school had simply gave him a reason or it is true. It sent the wrong information to these kids.

65% is considered bad. Even 85% average for all the subjects may not be good enough.
