      hi there,

my house distance is just 1.063 km from Nan-Chiau Primary School,

is it counted as first priority group?
high chance to get in Nan-Chiau?

Distance matters only during balloting. For registration phases, it is your \"relationship\" with the school that matters.

Suggest you read up MOE's site: http://www.moe.edu.sg/education/admissions/primary-one-registration/phases/ to determine which phase you qualify for.

          hi,

if u look at the different phrase stage, first is for those with siblings already in the sch, 2nd is those parents who were formerly from the sch, 3rd is within 1km and volunteer parents, if there is still vacancy, then will open to 2km and so on...

              yes

some parents even performed PV at 2 schools

but do note that come registration, only can register at 1 school at any 1 phase.

Can I rent out my property and use that address for balloting but move into my parents place?

not supposed to, so don’t get caught or your child will be transfered out

thanks. In fact, my intention is only to do PV in one of these schools. So in the event that both accepts, not sure if I’ll be penalized if I reject one.

No you will not be penalized by dropping out of PV or for failing to acquire enough hours

I have a Q and hope to get some help from fellow parents here πŸ™‚

I have been staying in my place for the past 3years+ before our family relocated to the US. We registered our boy into the school that is within 1km from my place and according to MOE regulations, we are required to provide proof of documentation when my boy start school upon our return.

However, my dad who has been wheel-chair bound for many years and my mum who has been loking after him, have expressed their wishes for us to move in with them after we return in May hence we are thinking of selling our house.

Will that pose a problem for the school if we are able to prove the genuinity of our case?

Thank in advance for any advice offered πŸ™‚
