      1)\tThe team (is , are) trying on their Jersey now. They will be starting their training soon.
      2)\tThe posse of policemen (has been, have been) marching on the field since this morning. They have not stopped marching yet.
      Active to Passive and vice versa
      The stolen antique has been recovered by the police.
      3)\tThe police (has /have) recovered the stolen antique.
      The show “X Factor” has been rated highly by the public.
      4)\tThe public (has,have) rated the show “X Factor” highly.

        May I know when do we need to use a header like the one below in situation writing. I have went through some assessment books, most of the reports and emails only requires Dear Sir, ...... and ends with Yours sincerely. Thanks.

        Hi, I actually called MOE regarding format in Situational Writing and the officer who called me back only answered with this: There is no prescribed format.

        Go figure what that means...

                    Loo Hong _____________ in London for many years before he met his wife.
                    (1) had lived
                    (2) has been living
                    (3) had been living
                    (4) have been living

                        I took \"a number\" as a collective term. Why can't it be \"has\"?
