I give my 11 months old boy Childlife colostrum and Nordic Natural Baby DHA. My first time purchase from iherbs using the discount code given by nice mummies here. 🙂

I have always purchased these supplements from local supplier but I find that the price is the same or a little more expensive if I were to buy from iherb without the discount. Those 1st timer interested to purchase from iherb can use this discount code CKM772. https://www.iherb.com

Anyway, can I ask whether Nordic Naturals, Children's DHA in Strawberry Flavor is suitable for 1 year old? And also I have heard that it's good to add pure olive oil in the food for kids. Anyone tried that?

        Hello parents,

I am organising some overseas sprees to buy some supplements for my 2 boys - Sambucol For Kids (both US and UK version) and OptiBac probiotics.

Both my boys have tried them and there are positive results so far. Hence I am getting more (and also on a long-term basis). The websites where I will be getting them are: iHerb, ChemistDirect and OptiBac. Have some good discounts from these websites so I am sharing their lower prices with everyone here.

Feel free to join in if keen.

Should fish oil be taken in the morning or in the night?

I would take it in the morning and if u take probiotics at night before bed.

Green Pastures and Weston Price also recommend to take it in the morning with high quality butter oil from grass fed cows (it has Vitamin K)

I also chase it down with freshly squeezed orange juice (it has bio-available easily absorbable natural calcium)

            Hi mummies,

I just logged into my iHerb acc and if appears that they are offering free delivery for shipping via Global Mail by DHL. Not to sure yet whether it is a short promotion or a permanent feature. Let's hope it is for good. No harm making a purchase now if we need something. They seemed to have also lowered the DHL rates from $12 to $10 as a base amount. They have also introduced a new delivery option Euroasia catered for Singaporeans.

For those new to iHerb, I just wrote a detail blog entry on purchasing from them and some price comparisons. You can read about it http://wp.me/s1aTYr-469.

I just received this email from iHerb:

"Now through October 31st, our Eurasia Express shipping method is free for orders over $60.00!"

              Delivery takes 4-8 business days.
              Tracking is available.
              Orders up to $105.00.
              Limit 15 lbs per order.

This promo makes this method more attractive than the "Global Mail by DHL" method if you buy by this month. Faster, provides tracking of your parcel, allows you to buy more per order and also heavier items.

Btw, the Global Mail by DHL method is FOC permanently :-)) But I would definitely stock up this month to make use of the Eurasia Express shipping method since there is a promo now.

Agree Iherb price is much cheaper than local price. E.g. Childlife Probiotics with Colostrum…GNC is selling S$60+ per bottle. I paid only about S$23 incl shipping from iHerb.

Hi Sunflower, my kids seems to take Sambucol (elderberry) quite well. I tried Sambucol and Sambucus fr http://www.iherb.com. which is cheaper than Sambucol... seems to work as well.. Can use Discount code JTM172.

personally, when I am feeling a bit under weather, I start taking it too (as I am bf hence wanna minimize medicine...). and it does make my flu symptoms go away. noharm trying. can get the 240ml bottles to try as since u hv 2 kids (my kids take once every 2-3 days and 1 bottle last just less than a week? )

u can use referral discount code (JTM172) and get $10 off $40 purchases now... find it quite a good deal. free shipping depending on ur purchase.

I decided to feed them these as better than taking med... so far so good, even when they start hvg cold, I immediate. get them to take, and quite many times can even cure Wo medicine! for mild ones lah 😉
