I am concerned as how best to prepare my ds who will be in Sec 2 for streaming. Is it goin to be tough to getting into a pure science class as isparks get to learn 40% more?

We need to let go and have them be fully responsible for their study. School teachers are doing a good job. The boys are engaged directly and a lot of things we don't even know the details so how to get involved.
There is no drastic streaming at end of sec 2 per se as the main subjects like Maths, Physic and Chem are all compulsory till sec 4. Only that sec 3 may opt for special subject (like the RA subject in RI) and take up biology as additional which requires students to have the passion for the subject and have good overall sec 2 results.

They will join the Nanyang girls' Music Elective Programme (MEP). If I'm not wrong, Hwa Chong is accepting DSA-Music students for the first time this year because of their strong String Orchestra :hugs:

Most likely you would have to change the 3rd language slot to other days. There are slots from Monday to Friday. However, the official day for HCI is Thursday and the transport arrangement to the language centre is for Thursday. If you opt for other slots, you would have to find your own transport.

Both. There are students who take languages other than French and Japanese, which are only offered in Bishan.

Hi, DS withdrew his Japanese (S2 2013), the set of books are quite new except work book, no meaning to keep them, original price $150, selling them for $80.

                        PM me if interested. Thanks.
