Yes, the long staircase is open. That's the shortest way. The easiest is to get there by vehicle (taxi or private transport).

        Thanks. Will try it tomorrow.

I used it before. Going to the school using that staircase is horror physically. A good workout though 😛

But going down the stairs will definitely be more pleasant :)
Yes, I tried this morning. Need to make a stop half-way through.. Going down is definitely more relax. But the journey is cut by half compare to walking via SOTA.

next to plaza singapore, after the carpark, theee is a stair lead to Mt Sophia. Kind of short cut to reach st margaret from dhoby ghaut station. But is a challenge to climb up the stairs as it is about 100 steps height. You can try it out!

Further to xiaodingdang's description, if you walk from Plaza Sing, the taxi stand, towards Cathay, there is a construction (er, not sure if it has finished construction though, long time not been there), the staircase is next to that construction.

My DD will experience her first camp this year, and so will I! Can anyone share details of last year’s P4 camp? If you still have a copy of the programme, would be grateful if you could share it. Thanks!

                    Hi

I am hoping to send my girls to SMPS and would like to find out more about how the school helps the children adjust to P1? Could SMPS parents share their experiences?

                    Thanks!

There’s an orientation for P1 girls and their parents in November. The girls will be taken around the school, while parents stay in the hall for a briefing.

In January, each P1 is partnered with a P4. The P4 will take care of the P1 during recess – show P1 how to buy food and drink, where’s the library, etc. – and play with her too.

                      Hope this helps.

Oh yeah, forgot to add that there’s another briefing for P1 parents in January. Principal will give a speech in the hall, then parents will disperse to their DD’s classrooms to meet form and co-form teachers for detailed briefing on what to expect and prepare for rest of year.
