        (1) should be correct. Sometimes there are typos in the answer keys. I used to work in a company that publishes assessment books. Although we try to avoid it, inevitably, one or two errors will go unnoticed. If you are quite sure that your answer is right and you think that the answer key might be wrong, you can e-mail the publisher to check.

You can find the details from this website http://www.moe.gov.sg/media/press/2012/09/learning-of-english-to-develop.php

I think some schools have started to share with parents on the details of these changes. Am curious to learn from others, if they happen to know, where lies the emphasis for the new \"Stimulus-based Conversation\" component of the Oral portion.

From what I understand, the invigilator will ask questions on a given picture and the child will carry out a conversation based on it. I wonder what the marking rubrics will be like for this? Are they looking for the child's ability to speak proper English in their replies, their ability to develop a logical sequence in the conversation, the child's ability to redirect the conversation to an area more familiar to the himself / herself, etc?

              Appreciate any sharing.

              Thanks.

                Choice 1 is correct.

The (transformed) sentence \"My mum was too sad to say anything\" has two basic sentences:

                a) My mum was very sad.
                b) My mum did not say anything.

You can also rule out choices 2 and 3 because both contain modal verbs, respectively \"could not\" and \"would not\", as opposed to choice 1, which doesn't.

Mee Toh School P4 students are reading What's Up Newspapers and doing worksheets based in this newspaper. The English inside is so \"chim\" for upper primary students but good to expose them to it. Lower secondary also suitable. Really better than Little Red Dot!

Oh that magazine! When I was in my O level year, my English teacher still forced us to subscribe to that magazine... It's a very interesting magazine!
