Maid needs to go home - who is responsible for her loan?
-
I think the agencies are more cautious as they have seen some scam cases. Perhaps to help your maid, you could call the agency to ask them to speed up the process. It should not be too difficult if they are in touch with the staff in your maid's home country.

If the maid's family has paid up, I don't see why the agency hasn't sent her home...unless they didn't pay enough?Update on my maid, whom I sent back to the agency on 2 Feb: She is still in Singapore. The agent said they will send someone from their training centre to verify whether her story about her daughter who is lying in a coma in hospital is true. However, they haven't done so yet. In the meantime they won't let her go back to Indon because her loan amt is too large, even though I heard through my other maid that the family has already paid up to help her go home...It's pretty confusing.
If her situation is true, and if I were in her shoes, I would be suffering so badly, not being able to be with my only child! Really wondering if I should step in to speed up her expatriation...
I was involved in such a case last year (not my maid or relative's/ friend's maid.... but my maid's relative who ran away to my place). When the parents paid up (got a loan from bank) to the Indon agent, they sent her home within a couple of days. Her parents paid $2000+ after haggling with the agency from $3000+. -
I just sent my maid that worked with me 2 months back to agency last Sunday, she told the agency she afraid of high floor, which i am only at 6th floor. And she cried and said wanted to back immediate. Agent failed to convince her to wait for new maid arrival.
I m a working mother, now i got to work during the normal hours and manage my 2 girls and my mum rest of the time.
And still needs to pay the replacement fees and etc

Sometimes agents double talk so need to pressure them to hold them accountable to their words.

I have similar story from my indo maid. daugther in coma !! and her husband paid $1000 ++ sing dollar for her to go back. Anyway, we are not require to paid for her loan and let her return.
end of the day, don’t ever believe in MAID STORY~~ ALL BULLSHIT!! -
lck, did your maid return to Indonesia, or did she transfer to another employer?
My maid transferred to another employer, apparently she was "persuaded" to continue working to pay for the medical bills. -

Sounds fishy. Maid wins, Agent made more money, employer lose.lck, did your maid return to Indonesia, or did she transfer to another employer?

My indo maid went back to Indonesia . During CNY, she still sent sms to wish us Happy CNY… : )
After she left I have to spend 3k plus to get another maid.
Matriex, u are right… everyone win except for employer. -
There is a twist. My ex-maid, who had transferred to a new employer, stole from them and ran away to the Indon embassy. Now the embassy says she is not there either. My agent is really mad with the maid and refuses to follow-up for me. It seems like an act of desperation. Perhaps my ex-maid’s story about her daughter being in a coma is true after all. Or maybe she just wants out of working in Singapore? I dunno.
