Read some very helpful and informative posts here by various forumners, so wanted to show my support by clicking the \"Like\" button, but was told by an error msg, that i didn't make enuff posts on the forum to be able to do that.

Does anyone know, how many posts do i need to make, before i can click LIKE?
Dun really want to make a lot of inane posts here just to get to the required post count.. keke

Also, any quota on the number of posts that i can \"like\"?

Would the writer of a post be notified whenever his/her post is \"liked\" by somebody?

      Thanks in advance!
      Thanks seaglass for your queries.

      1) The minimum number of posts that users must have before they can like an article is 15. This is to prevent people from setting up new accounts just to \"like\" posts.

      2) The maximum number of Likes users can make is limited to 10 per day.

      3) We have just enabled email notification so that users of posts that are liked will receive email notifications.

PS. This thread will be merged into the HOW-TO KSP thread eventually.

Yes, please do that. Liking a post gives the author recognition, and is a great motivation for him/her to continue posting good information. It is to show our appreciation of the knowledge that we can glean from such sharing.

We will be tying up the Like function with our KiasuPoint$ to that the author of the post you Like will receive some KiasuPoint$ too.

Chief, question - how do we see who like the post?

To be honest, I can't really think of why I need to know who like a post except to satisfy my kaypo-ness 😉

So even if we don't have this function, never mind. 😄

You should at least tell the author what you like mah, especially since you are making a point to let him know you liked his post. Without the description, the author will have no idea which of his/her posts that you liked, or what you liked about it.

Regardless, like sunflower said, it is ok to click submit without typing anything in the message box.
