Ipad help!

I love my Ipad but I can't get it to do a few things. Can anyone give me some guidance?


How do I buy songs, new ebooks and movies from Apple store? Everytime I try it says the items are not available from the Singapore store. Really?? Or am I missing something here??

Every now and then, my Safari screen will freeze and I can't do a thing. I would have to restart the whole machine over again. Is there a way to unfreeze it, or better still, zap the problem so it never happens again?

For songs, movies, books etc, you have to get them from the US apple shop. To do that you have to set up a US account.


i dont’ have a problem with safari, but if you do, why not use an alternative browser, like firefox?

Do you mean downloading for free off the internet and then syncing it into the Ipad? Which (safe!!) sites do you use? I can't seem to find the ones I want and I'm willing to buy from the Apple shop for the convenience.

We just set up one using a US account. No problems with syncing.

Hi. For ebooks, have you tried searching from the library? Just set up a digital account and download the Overdrive app onto the ipad. Then can access the NLB database from the app to borrow books. Can make a reservation if book is out and an email is sent to you once it’s back. Could find the books I wanted so haven’t really been buying.


There is also skoob launched by Singtel not too long ago. This one I haven’t tried. Think have to access the website to buy and download books and after that syncing back into the ipad.

More like licensing issues I guess..

the free d/l is prob referring to apps, not contents..

As for contents not from Apple store.. juz d/l and covert to mp4 format and use apps like VLC to play..

but these contents are likely w/o license ones thou.. if you feel strongly that you muz pay for contents, then this route is not for you.

Can I open a US account without a US address? Sorry if it seems like a silly question! There are stuff I would dearly like to buy from there.
