2014 PSLE result details:

Total number of MBS students: 322

2A* to 5A* - 40 students (12.9%)
Aggregate > 250 - 31 students (10%)
Eligible for SAP schools - 82 students (25.5%)

Higher Chinese results:
(Distinction 16.1%, Merit 54.8%, Pass 27.1%)

% of A* and A for:
English 47.1%
Chinese 80.9%
Maths 41.3%
Science 49.7%

im not really sure about the actual percentage of students that got 250 and above but i know quite a lot of people whose psle score is above 250.

MBS is indeed a very good school. I will never forget this school, my second home.

The compo thingy seems is the trend in this school. My p4 girl, only did one compo before SA 1. Teacher is spending curriculum time marking the paper.. and left the student in the class room to do their own things. This happening after LC and before main paper. Think the school have to tighten certain rules. ....when I hear this, I speechless. ....

Thank you for sharing. Then the FT must have treated my girl as a P4 girl cos she only did once. The second one she submitted during her two wks, chicken pox mc but have not received till date.

I still prefer the more senior (older) ones. They are more responsible and delicated.

Oh yes! Let start! Just to share something as a parent's concern. My girl is in P3. Her firar el p1- compo was done on 11 Mar n only beginning of this wk the 1st draft was retuened to prepare for 2nd draft. And only this wk then prepared to do 2nd compo writing. I am worried my girl was absent as she is having chicken pox n only return to school next tuesday. How my girl is going to sit for her paper 1 next wednesday. OMG!

Here we are told by Minister of MOE or some minister that tuition is not required.??? School principal, is it normal to just do two compo n the student is ready for SA 1?

Anyone staying at Hougang area and taking school bus to Maha Bodhi? What time do you board the bus for afternoon session and what time does your child reach home after school?

My hubby is ex-student and my girls are registering for P1 this year June/July. But given the distance, I'm not sure if it's right to place my girls there. To be exact, I stayed Buangkok Crescent.

I stay in Sengkang & my son just started P1. The sch bus pick-up time for him is 11am, drop off time abt 7.25-7.30pm. The sch starts at 12.20pm with silent reading programme. So far so good, comes morning lesson probably drive him to school & hopefully when school goes fully single session, the reporting time starts later.

You have to wait till 2016 for single session in MBS.

Only P5 onwards.

Based on this year schedule Wednesday is for Value Education and Malay language. Most of the CCA is also fall on Wednesday except for those with external trainer which I thought was good arrangement. The student do not require to stay back too many days.


Next year not sure whether the new principal will change or not.
