@thebottomsupblog thank you! Haven’t been to Pip’s Playbox before - indoor and air-conditioned definitely beats hunting for shade on afternoons like these. Will bring the kids down to try it, appreciate the tip!

Free SG playground finder I made for my kids — sharing in case it helps
Hi all, I’m a retired dad who got tired of arriving at playgrounds right after the rain, so I built a free map: https://playgrounds.alyoechosys.dev
Filter by age / shade / water play, and there’s a “Good now” toggle using live NEA weather. Also shows nearby toilets and parking. No ads or sign-up — just a hobby project for fellow parents.
If you try it, I’d love to know what’s missing or which playgrounds I should add. Thanks!

Favourite shaded playgrounds for hot afternoons?
Hi parents, any recommendations for playgrounds that are still manageable on very hot afternoons? For younger kids, shade and nearby toilets matter more to us than fancy equipment. Somewhere with a food court or cafe nearby would help too. Central or northeast would be ideal, but happy to travel if it’s worth it. Bonus if there’s a small water-play area.

Hello everyone
Hi everyone. I’m mainly interested in P1 registration, family activities and useful local resources around Singapore. Hope to learn from everyone and join in where I can.

Anyone else stressed about P1 registration? Made something that helped me
Started looking into P1 registration for my kid and realised the data is all over the place. Put together a simple site that lets you key in your postal code and see nearby schools with their balloting history from 2022-2024.
Free, no login. Curious if other parents find it useful.
