Hi, any parents can share your experience with this school? Am interested to register this year. Are the kids generally well behaved? Are the teachers kind and caring? What’s the academic performance like? Thanks.

If I buy a place now which is within 1km of the school, and will get keys in early July, do I have to quickly reflect new address on NRIC (and when can I do this) or can just show S&P agreement?

Just show the S&P agreement with a clear indication of the TOP date and your ownership.

      Thank you!! :thankyou:

      super-mom:
      Dear bizzybee,

Based on past statistics: http://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/content/bukit-batok, (except year 2006) all SC & SPR who registered in phase 2b got a place. Balloting only happens in phase 2c.

The past 2 years saw only 72% and 75% application rate. If no major demographic changes/new flats coming up near the area, I supposed this year should be safe too?

      Thanks supermom

I thought so too until the remark from the school about waiting list when I asked them about phase 2b.

Anyone can shed any light? Was there balloting in the past years for phase 2b or everyone was successful in getting a place?

Hi, I would like to know too if there will be any open house this year?

As I am gearing up to P1 registration this year, I’ve been asking around and it seems that SGPS reputation is that the boys are naughty? Parents with kids there, do you find that the kids are rowdy and rough and is there alot of bullying? How is the academic standard at SGPS?

They talked about Gab boys loitering around Nex mall… Not sure if they are talking about the secondary school or primary school kids. I cannot imagine primary school kids who are so young will loiter at the mall?

Hi, I am going for registration this year for P1 next year.

I am planning to register under phase 2b. From past statistics there is no balloting in phase 2b. But when I called the school, they said they have a long waiting list and the person wasn't comfortable to say that there is no balloting for phase 2b. Which leads me to think.... could it be that the school doesn't accept applications more than their available places (maybe they verbally tell the parents that chances are slim due to long waiting list) and hence that's why there is no balloting?

It's hard to gauge whether I stand a good chance in phase 2b 😞
