Registration exercise for 2013 has finally drawn the curtain. It is time for the parents to take a breather, let the tensed-mind take a rest before all gear up to prep kids for their Pri 1. Enjoy the school holiday! Cheers!

Scarly DS/DD go mission sch kena converted come back everyday lecture parents/grandparents/relatives why still burn incense/go temple then jialat liao
      :scared:

hard to say, who knows the parents/grandparents/relatives all also converted to christian ler? 🙂

Regardless of religion, it is the principle behind that is wrong. What morale high ground he or she has when the kid has integrity issue? What type of moral value does these parents want to impart to their next generation?

      Hi.

I want to check if my husband join SHHK as member , but he has no time to do volunteer work as he most weekend he works. I am not a hokkein ( this is a big issue ? ). Can I volunteer to help out at SHHK instead ?

Hokkien Huey Kuan (SHHK) - for Hokkien dialect folks only.

since you aren't Hokkien - cannot join, can't volunteer.
only your husband can join - because he is Hokkien.

Your hubby can become a member but you can volunteer on his behalf. Hope this helps.

Fake faith in church in order to be eligible for P2B. Very Sad.

That's very real! i knew someone who contemplated to convert to Catholic just so the son can get into CHS. Though she eventually didn't, i still desprise such behaviour.

My niece is in Opera Estate Pri. She is very happy there as the teachers there are loving and caring. In addition, it also has an international environment. Her classmates are from all over the world. Perhaps parents can also consider this school. My only complaint about this school is its location, as it is nestled among the low rise residential area, there are hardly any bus get there (i think only 1 public bus).

We shifted to MP coz there are many good schools from primary to higher secondary within 1 km for us to choose. So we are happy that we need not move again for at least the next 10 years or so. Moving is such a chao for us. 😛

Congrats to those who have successfully secured a place in the school of your desired. For those who have not, do not be despaired. You need a clear mind to look through the remaining schools where there are still vacancies and map out a good strategy.
